The TSPROF is a comprehensive sharpening system for people who enjoy taking 3hrs to sharpen. They do have additional equipment to scandi grind or convex grind your knife perfectly. The WorkShop is true hobby immediate gratification. TSPROF is knife nerd cut from billet heaven.

Based on your logic no one should use anything USA made ever. This system was made by a guy like you, a skilled craftsman not the Russian government. Love your channel and for my money all these clamp style systems are overkill. I have KO system from work sharp and agree wholeheartedly with you on that. Stay strong, true and sharp brother.

In a blind cut test I highly doubt anybody could tell the difference between a convex or a straight edge cutting some leather, cardboard. or whittling some wood. everyday stuff you would use a knife for.

Again I’d have to disagree. A flat grind will provide a razor like feel when cutting material the resistance is far less than a convex edge especially when the knife is a bushcraft knife. There’s a definite trade off for convex. You get durability but loose the razor like edge that only a flat grind can produce. But a flat grind is not durable and will not retain its sharpness as long as a convex grind

Absolutely KEEP the TSprof K03 because it is a very well machined high quality blade sharpener. Its a machine, it has no loyalties to anyone not even it's own self. I forgave the Germans for their atrocities, they are aligned with the the West and they make great products. I have bought German cars, foods and tools. New Subject: I had a rush of oxygen to the cranial grey matter this morning. I have a serrated bread knife that I've had for decades and never used because my convex knives are scary sharp. Besides who in their right or left mind would want to saw their fresh bread or whatever. Anyway I'm thinking of grinding the serrations off (8 3/4" cutting edge) reprofiling the edge to a scandi grind with a convex micro bevel. and use it as a filleting knife. Any thoughts. Good video and 100% agree I put a convex on every customer blades and as long as the steel is good I won't be seeing them too soon. Plus I teach each customer how to strop (using their husband's leather belt...lol) and maintain each knife. That always brings me more business. Have a great week.

Thanks for the great discussion, I agree the tsprof doesn’t represent the current events, but it evokes emotion so time to put away for awhile. I have re-profiled many serrated knives. Making them into convex ground blades, typically I recommend this to customers. They end up much happier and will likely use the knife more in the end.

I wonder if your video got flagged for something. I cannot view it at all. It just keeps loading and that's it. I have tried different devices and different networks without any change.

Even though it's Russian government being crazy right now. It's not the Russian companies fault they just got caught up in the crossfire of what's going on. They've had to rearrange how they're delivering stuff for now. But i think they're orders are going to Belarus and shipping from there. Id keep it for sure. But if you decide to sell it I'll buy it from you.

Exactly, I know it doesn’t represent their govt, and the people are like us here caught, in the middle.

I understand what you mean about Russia. I'd put it away, out of sight for now. I bought the Hapstone R2 (made in Ukraine) a couple of months ago. It's a good alternative and well-made. I'm glad I chose the Hapstone; I would have been putting a new TSPROF in a box in the basement. There's a stress that we are all thinking about and don't need reminders in front of us in our homes. You are right that the Worksharp KO with the BGA is better for getting things done. I use mine for damaged or neglected blades (friends' and a couple customers). I do really like the guided system results, though (the hobbyist part of me). For professional use, how long do the WSKO machines last?

I haven’t had any issues with the work sharp and have been running them for almost three years now.
