Enjoy your programmes. Learning a lot, must get out in my kilt more. Also I find 8 yard wool kilts very affordable. My only input is "Nothing is worn under the kilt" refers to the wearers manhood not his underwear choice. Love and respect from Scotland.

Here in Hawaii, “winter wear” with a kilt would simply be an Inverness cape as winter is our rainy season and it rains almost every day. Temperature wise, there is only about a 10 degree difference between summer and winter, so not really enough to really notice and no need for a coat, even on our brutal cold winter nights when it gets all the way down to a bone-chilling 60 degrees, lol.

Would a solid-coloured tie matching a less prominent colour in the tartan look nice? I still need to get a kilt-cut tweed jacket, but I'm just looking for ideas of how to accessorise a more business-oriented outfit.

Love the show! Sometimes I clip my phone to my kilt strap. It works. Other agents might try it.

That is American Heritage. Anyone can wear it.

I often wear my PV, and no one has ever asked me if it was a kilt. They've only said they love it. When asked, for example, how many kilts do I have, I say two, and do not differentiate between my old wool kilt or my newer PV.

If I’m wearing a dress sporran with cantle, I don’t wear a belt. These days I don’t wear a belt at all. In Scotland it’s usually the tourists that wear the belt. I’m a Pattison (Paterson) and I wear McLaren modern as we’re a sept of MacLaren or Farquhrson.

I don't own a belt but will probably get one to hold a water bottle for summer walking . I prefer the sans belt look . I don't mind the look but just don't wear one .

Eric; Where did you get your "Hybrid" (Day-Hunting) sporran? I notice you wear that a lot in your videos. Is that available through USA Kilts?

It's not one we normally carry, but we CAN have it made as a custom one for us. It's a bit pricey (the 'leather leaves' are what bumps up the price), but it can be done.

USA Kilts & Celtic Traditions I recently ordered two kilts from USA Kilts (Davidson Ancient and Law Enforcement Tartans). When they are done, I'll be driving back up to the store to pick up my entire outfits. Can we talk then? I might be interested in ordering one. I really like that look.

The Scots Bonnet is probably the most enduring Scottish item of clothing if you want to go traditional, it was certainly around as far back as the 1500s and it was everywhere in Scotland, not just the Highlands.
