@SK S If so , Indian kids should also learn to take care of themselves , they shd not expect their parents to send them to schools and fancy engineering colleges and enjoy their life .... Without spending more than half of their earnings in the studies , due to which u are eligible to go to USA etc

Video did give a good overview of income /expenditure. The best way to compare if going to USA is beneficial financially or not is to see how long a person can sustain if he/she were to loose job, assuming one has permanent residency. Just like in India, not more than a year unless the person has substantial other source of income which is very very rare. So by the time an "indian" settles in life in USA is approximately 60 years just like in India. Disadvantage is his childern brought up in USA, may or may not imbibe Indian values of staying with parents till their death taking care of them. So it is a very wrong impression most indian have that one becomes rich by going to USA . Most beneficial thing would be to work for about 5 to 10 years and get back to india which will launch you in slightly higherr economic strata taking advantage of currency differences. On the contrary, if one wants to live american way ( not referring to discotheques, western clothes and food etc) , exploring various avenues in various fields, I.e. exploring life and world of knowledge at any age then it is a very great country. You are never judged by your antecedents. You could be a engineer but may pursue, law, medicine or any field of knowledge at any stage of life . You could travel to various destinations, specifically ecological, biological tours. You could be an activist (not indian type). I mean avenues galore. Many of my colleagues at San Francisco would quite job, which is considered coveted by us India and would give arm & leg to hold on to it, after saving some money to persue something else. That is you don't have to lead a predictable, walking dead life where one6 epitaph is already written, I.e. work hard and complete engineering by 22, take up software job , go to USA, find green card holder spouse or company that sponsors one, produce a child(hedging) to get American citizenship in case company doesn't sponsor GC, build a house, brainwash children to take up studies that fetches good wages, keep paying emi finally retire awaiting death. In between visit few tourist places and upload photos in fb. Frankly this can be done even in india, aleast you have maids, retired parents take care of your children and cook as far as possible. And your indian assets values goes up anyway. Boss way toooooo secured life seekers we Indians. Who just survive and not live life.
@Grow3741
@Grow3741 2 жыл бұрын
Though I do not agree with you on couple of points like children don't take care of parents, you hit the nail right on the head. People in India think everybody returning from US is rich. That is because 80 percent of us visiting try to show off. People in India think IT sector employees make a lottttt of money, because these folks go back and brag (not all of them). Pictures with expensive cars in the background and such things. New show off toy is Tesl... There are other professionals that earn more than five to ten times compared to IT sector. Spirituality is my way staying grounded.

Purchasing Power Parity US Dollars in terms of Indian rupees will be around 20. That means if one's salary is 5 lacs that should be divided by 20 so his salary would be 25,000 rupees only if he had worked in India.. In India 1kg of Apple will be 100rupees but in US apple price will be 100x20 = 2000 rupees in terms of Indian money so in terms of US dollar i will be 2000/75 = 27 dollars.... So don't worry about that ur friends went US and earning in crores....

All those who are writing some useless comments question yourself, why Indians want to go to US in the first place ? Is it for staying away from parents ?....No. Is it for money, yes, to a large extent. Is it the fact that they didn't get a job in a highly competatitive India - May be to some extent (for one job in India 100 (may be 150) people will apply ) one will get that job and the other 99 will be looking forward to go to US/Canada/Australia !! Reservation policy also has denayed jobs for some.... but has provided relief to many others. There is one more reason- that is lack of opportunity for higher research, lack of funds for higher academics. Reasons mainly Indians want to go to US...to have a better life in a cleaner environment....Even at the cost of leaving elderly parents (some with medical problems). If Indian economy improves, reverse migration will happen for sure. Indians are economic migrants only !!!

Madam, can you please add your place in your video title than generally saying USA sal and expenses. Because in bay area a 1bed 1 bath house will cost 2700- 4000$(based on which office location area like Cupertino is apple area, mountain view is google area like based on which companies are around the prices change, and also how new is the apartment and if it has washer and dryer inside ) and insurance are also expensive and groceries are also 20%to 30% more than Washington region, the sal avg is same as your place but expenses are more. Also most of the apt will not have washer dryer inside the house , so an 100$ expense is added additionally. As you may know 70-80%of Indians will land in bay area, so it's very imp we clearly mention this expenses are based on which location rather than generally saying USA If we have kids an additional of 800$ per kid ( if one parent not working) if both parents working per kid it will be 2300( day care- 1200 minimum and other expenses like music classes, swimming, dancing) also California has additional state taxes , so after all taxes for 1400000 annual sal take home will be 7500$ per month. California break down Annual sal 140000 - take home per month 7500$ Husband and wife - no kids yet House - min 2700 ( 1bhk , honestly saying you will feel sad seeing the house you get for this price) Groceries - 1500 Car - 600( insurance, əmi, parking) Medical insurance - 500 Utilities - 300 Laundry - 100 Misc - 700 Total - 6400$ With one kid - one parent not working 6400 + 800 - 7200 With 2 kids - one parent not working 6400 + 800 + 800 - 7600 With one kid and both parents working 6400 + 2300. =8700 With 2 kids and both parents working 6400+2300+2300=11000 The above mentioned is min expenses , living a very simple calculated lifestyle. With kids we will go with organic milk and organic products and there will be birthday parties, outings so we have to add additional 2000 . In bay area if we make 300000$ than can lead a decent middle class life, but most of the population do not make so much money that is the reality. When both parents are working there actually will be some more additional cost to travelling and eating out during week day as well due to hectic schedule The reason I am saying to be specific is when people came to usa they watch these videos and make calculations in head, and also many relatives in India make these calculation and think people in bay area are lying that they are not saving much. And houses are super expensive in bay area, min price is around 1.5million (1200 SQft house) so əmi + property tax will come around 8000 per month. And most if California is earthquake zone or flood zone so an additional 250$ insurance will be added with all the other insurance... Many of the people i know have left bay area or returned back to India after seeing the expenses and standard of living here Also i know so many people who are in software and who have only one sal which around 120000-160000 and live a lower middle class life , really do not know why they are staying here( may be for kids future) i cannot comment but feel really sad when I see them, and makes me feel what is this American dream, why are we Indians so obsessed with this America... Recently sold house reference: www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Cupertino_CA/show-recently-sold Rent 1 BHK house reference : www.apartments.com/mountain-view-ca/ You can check the below bay area places for rent and house price reference Main areas of bay area- San Francisco, San Mateo, redwood, mountain view, Cupertino, Sunnyvale these are the areas where all offices are located, little further areas-, Milpitas, Fremont, San Jose, much further areas- Livermore, Dublin, etc .

@@akshayhannikeri3775 yes that's correct... May be 15-20years back situation may be different, but now especially if you are moving to bay area ( which is the silicon valley) don't keep high expectations, many of us feel immigration is a curse on our generation (80's born) as there is kind of peer pressure in India to go to a foreign country. I have heard parents speak when i was in my 20s that being in a foreign country has more respect ... I just hope these thoughts change and we start feeling more proud staying in our own place connected to our family and roots. I hope a day comes where people in India ask was there any problem that your kids are migrating to other country 🙂🙂

Basically, a very good explanation on "break-down" of salary/expenses.....I am assuming that the intended majority of the audience for this video, are people in India....since most of us who have settled in the US.....may see it.....to compare themselves.....their living standards....to the one in the state of Washington.....having said that.....each and every element.....concerning salary to expenses.....has a significant number of variables.....which Shwetha sums up in one important sentence....."depends upon one's life style of living".....which is the absolute truth.....having lived in the US for more than 45+ years.....and from Bangalore....or Bengaluru....I do appreciate a sincere effort that has been put to this 21 minute video....covering most the important details...most of all....love the presentation in Kannada.....Thanks.

Debt, GDP, Per Capita- all these things are just relative and doesn't reflect on the individual's quality of life/ salary in a country directly Sir...UAE/Qatar have zero debt , low GDP but high salary. India has high GDP, low debt but low per capita & US has high Debt, moderate GDP but high per capita. China has high GDP, high debt low salary ....but why Indians opt for USA is- it is a free secular democratic country ....much like India. If indians have high salaries in India they don't want to go and work in the US or any other country for that matter...They just want to visit and come back. So just worry about yourself individually and make decision whether to stay in India or go abroad. Demand for a profession will not lost for ever (except nursing staff). Their salaries may be low, but demand will be high whether a country is in high GDP, Low GDP, high debt/low debt. Right now software fellows are in demand but soon there will be millions of software people and suddenly one fine day employers throw them out. Till then enjoy. Make the hay when Sun shines !!!

@@sandesh9240 I appreciate your views. But I am talking about the impact of higher Debt and inflation factors in a multi culture and developed economy, USA. Many Indians are working there and earning very well. At the same time many of them done investment in USA. But, USA is not like an economy it was 30 yrs back. It's economic dominance being challenged by China and it's hegemony is under threat since many of the global economies coming out of USD. Like Europe, other continents will have unique currencies for foreign trade in the next 4-8 yrs. This results inhigher inflow of USD inside USA. Excess flow of USD in USA will lead to higher inflation. Higher inflation will make USD weaker. Those who have done investment in USA will lose their wealth value. IMF is telling in 2022 alone 16 countries will be bankrupt and cannot trade in USD anymore, Sri Lanka is a first Domino. When countries stop trading in USD, they will trade either in crypto currency, gold or in commodities. 10 yrs down the line, investment done in India, particularly land, will be more valuable compared to USA.

@@ನೊಂದಪ್ರೇಮಿ-ಸ7ಮ Fall of US economy will be having moderate impact in Agri-based Indian economy, this we have witnessed in 2007 global recession (due to Lehman brothers), 2017 recession and during the pandemic also. There is a saying ' Yatha Raja Tatha Praja'. US is losing its dominance globally and this will be followed by US companies. They will lose their market to Asia and Europe. Higher inflation in the US will make them to move to a lower/cost effective country and to either close their operations in the US or to use their offices in US as a back office by downsizing their staff. When this happens, the property market in the US will collapse and on the other hand it will trigger property growth in India. Currently 5 countries, Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are not able to trade in USD. Imagine what happens if many countries join the race. Total collapse of USD.

Hi, nicely covered and practical. Subscribed to your channel. Need information like yours for people who want to settle with family and there are very few resources over internet (let alone in Kannada) for that age group. I have two important points which is often not given information about by most living abroad that is Healthcare and actual Savings (which you already touched upon practically). Because when people move to USA they will be in their teens or late 20s/early 30s and will never face health problems but I wanted to know from your experience with yourself or from colleagues that you have seen, is healthcare really that expensive? I mean I’ve heard that if any person gets a serious condition like heart attack, dialysis, cancer or even getting admitted for 1 month or so ICU care etc their lifetime earnings go for a toss. In such case even having insurance will expenses skyrocket? Or will insurance save us. Also second point. India has lot of opportunities like in Very good companies one can earn around 50/60Lakh per annum and yearly savings can go up to 25Lakh, need your perspective on this vs living in USA. Please next video healthcare and health expenditure plus as you age eshtu feasible badukadu anno topic mele exclusive video maadi. Looking forward for other such videos. Thank you !
