MVP is a great and a very successful businessman. I believe he is not corrupt and greedy like some big businessmen around. He shared his knowledge, expertise and wealth to help the Filipino people. I hope he continues doing this until our country becomes rich and successful again, which I know will take many years to attain. One small comment, I always notice in this interview the bottom sole of his expensive looking shoes, there were no noticeable scratches. This must be newly worn shoes but these look good on him, including his crisp and wrinkle-free business suit and shirt. LOL

Metro Pacific Health with its member hospitals would be the perfect testbed for PLDT's digitalization of hospital records and billing that other hospitals can eventually adopt.

MVP is being very open in saying that PLDT still has a ways to go. Was it 6M homes out of 25M served with fixed internet? That's going to take time; it doesn't mean PLDT is doing nothing. Hopefully, with the recent EO 32 streamlining permits for telcos improvement of coverage will improve much faster. (Which was a major reason progress was so slow all these years.)

The last I heard, Meralco is in talks with Ultra Safe Nuclear of the US to conduct feasibility studies. Since Ultra Safe specializes in Micro Modular Nuclear Reactors Meralco can stagger the expenditure by just building what they can afford at the moment until they build enough scale to bring down generation cost.

Metro Pacific Agro Ventures as a bell cow investor for dairy production (and other food production, I imagine) and contract farming would involve proving that Philippine farming can be as technologically advanced as the rest of the world. Metro Pacific conglomerate certainly has the resources for that.

Correct about 5G. When it was new consumers worldwide bought into it because of the greater 'speed' (the mantra of gadget geeks) but casual users were disappointed to learn that while it worked best with business applications, for their non-business uses 4G would have served. So MVP has the right idea: Ramping up available applications for businesses that demand 5G capabilities will be PLDT Enterprise's goal. (The side benefit is that we become more investor-friendly.)

MVP didn't mention it, but his Metro Pacific Agro Ventures is planning to build vegetable farms and these will be hydroponic. I guess this is what he meant by removing the stigma of farming by making it clean and high tech.

I'm beginning to understand why MVP isn't retiring much as he would want to. The new BBM administration is more pro-business, pro-private sector than the previous one and he wants to be around to take advantage of the improved environment by - as he says - giving the MVP group's full support.

MVP's PXP-Forum Energy cannot resume oil and gas exploration of their service areas because currently the Cabinet Cluster on Justice and Security has suspended all such activity. Government can help by increasing the budget (through realigned CIF?) of the Coast Guard and Navy and have their assets escort exploration vessels after BBM orders the suspension lifted.

I think ang na-mean ni Ces ay nagulat siya noong sinabi ni MVP na farming - like mining - has been demonized. So ang reaction ni Ces ay parang: Pati farming? Ang ibig sabihin ni MVP na masyadong negatibo ang tingin ng mga Pilipino sa farming, na mahirap, marumi, etc. Kaya sabi niya na papasukin nila ang mmga modernong technique.
