One of the funnest awards ceremony I ever witnessed our 1LT received her first AAM. The LTC giving it to her asked out loud for all to hear: This is your first AAM and it's from another battalion? Where are your company CO and battalion CO to see this? By the way, this was on front our battalion HQ building. Someone ran inside and got the battalion commander and CSM.
