Beer! Oh.... no beer? Beer goggles perhaps? Coffee is great. Iced coffee is great, coffee frappe is undoubtedly great. I live in a sub tropical zone and the coldest we get outside in the winter is occasionally + 1, 2, or 3 C. That’s ~ 34 F. Don’t need reheated coffee.... hmmm.... Please don’t heat up your beer on that thing! Despite the lack of beer information (joke) I still enjoy your videos and I’ll keep coming back for more of your entertaining work. Now I want to see how good it is .... or was! Hot water on the plate (in something) and measure the rate of cooling against the power drawn by the warmer #ScienceGeek!

It never got so hot that I couldn't hold my hand on it.Not a very objective test, admittedly, but it didn't seem worth the effort to hook up a thermocouple.

A bit above room temperature. But not hot enough that I couldn't touch it.

@@plageran A powwer supply capable of providing more than a typical USB port on a computer, and lower resistance resistors. Ultimately you what to dissipate more watts. Let Ohm's law guide you.

I am not surprised to be honest. Which i have bought several of these and know that it is a resistor as a heater, but that's not why i am not surprised. Heating coils are essentially a resistor that heats up, but a entirely different form. So if we think about it, a resistor can work as a heater in small applications such as this. Especially if the resistor fails, well it's easy to replace.
