This is what Riley does, crumbles against just good to average teams. Softest culture ive ever seen. As a USC fan, I never agreed with the hire. I knew it would make us a less physical team, and USC is known for being a physical team. I'm kind of happy we lost because it gives a reality check to all of the USC fans. But at OU, you guys did the same thing, you guys praised Lincoln when he was at Oklahoma. But I understand that he is not the guy. I miss the same old USC days. I'm sure you remember 55-19, miss that.

Also, the defense wasn't the problem in this game or all season, that's how I know you haven't watched all of the games. It's been the offense putting the defense in bad situations all season. The offense gave up 28 points and then ND returned a kickoff. The defense only gave up 200 yards and 13 points

If USC struggled at ND in October, wait until they join the Big Ten and have to travel to Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State in November/December. Everyone knows that when the weather starts to get cold, the team that’s more physical usually win. I am not saying that USC is going to struggle in the Big Ten, but the day of having dam near perfect football weather in October, November and December are over.

The problem with USC was not its defense, it was its offense. How did you miss this after watching the game twice? The offense had 5 turnovers near USC's end zone and GAVE Notre Dame 35 points (including the failure of special teams). The defense was responsible for 13 of Notre Dame's points, the offense was responsible for 35 of Notre Dame's points. Defensive coordinators have figure out how to stop Caleb Williams and Caleb Williams is the entirety of USC's offense. Going forward, USC can expect to lose to Utah, Washington, Oregon, and UCLA, and end the season 7-5.

It comes down to USC's OL being trash, and ND having really good CBs which led to Caleb Williams getting harassed and forced into 3 turnover on the wrong side of the field. USCs defense didn't play that poorly overall, they were put into bad situation after bad situation because ND dominated them in the trenches and forces them to make mistakes

In Carroll's first year, SC went 6-6 but the largest margin of victory in a loss was 11 points (to ND coincidentally). Yeah they weren't good, but at least they were keeping games from being complete blowouts. This loss was the equivalent of Kiffin's choking to Stanford as a 41 point favorite. Riley's problems look unsolvable, as he cannot see what the issue is.
