USC's band concept and parody of the Stanford marching band is simply AMAZING! Nice job USC...

@Burr Anderson You're correct up to a point. That looked like a 'good natured roast' more than a parody.

I always thought that if the USC band were to parody Stanford's, perhaps they should do so playing the one song they have in common in their respective repertoires: "All Right Now."

@Countrymusicnumber1 They're playing warmup scales in a counter march, which is a very basic marching band maneuver, implying the Stanford Band can't do either one, which is probably true. And then they throw in a few Stanford imitations. Pretty funny. Didn't know they were capable of humor.

Always glad to see the Stanford band lampooned - but the rudest band I ever shared a field with in my life was USCs. The band members deliberately tried to trip members of the Cal Band as we came off the field. I've never seen anything like, and I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't there. It's a real shame that groups of people that are as similar as could be (California university band geeks) would treat each other so poorly. The lampooning - all in fun. Tripping - contemptible.

Pac12 isn’t known for their marching bands. So I guess it’s good to be number one? Compared to the B1G they sound flat and look kind of uncoordinated. /

@@Countrymusicnumber1 They sound better. USMC is just playing a basic scale which Stanford can't play. My HBCU once visited Stanford and we saw the trumpet sheet music and saw then writing down the fingerings for the music notes.

@@isaiahbangura4421 You don't get it. The Stanford attitude is "We can do all this crazy stuff as a band and we still go to the best university west of the Mississippi River and are giving the Ivy League's big three a run for their money". They are saying " We are THAT perfect." I'm Black. The HBCUs are in so much trouble it's hard to mention, except that it seems that more Whites are willing to go to them now. My dad went to Southern University. I grew up with the Bayou Classic, battle of the bands, etc.
