We're moving backwards as usual. Both options should be made available. That was the way it used to be. I should be able to choose if I want to receive my foreign currency as is, or have it converted to Naira. On a side note, this nonsensical CBN directive does not apply to International SWIFT transfers. Note that, International SWIFT transfers do take longer to process.

@@thenigeriannomad Bayo, I hear you. These idiots we call leaders have been trying to stabilize our colonial economy since 'independence'. We must produce - or die. It's 2021 and with all the brilliant minds we've got, Nigeria still hasn't been able to produce a small engine. I'm Nigerian/American and I'm currently based in Abuja. I moved back to support our local economy however, it's been one roadblock after another. At the end of the day, most of these remittances will end up in the Aboki/Parallel/Black market. And that's their intended goal. If they're not foolish, how in the heck do you strengthen an economy this way? When the Naira is trading at N100 or less to the dollar, only then can we truly pat ourselves on the back.

yes but i heard the bank automatically creates a domicillary account for the person who is picking up Please have them verify this with the bank.

Another question. I recently just made a bank deposit through Ria, and the money reflected in my recipient local saving account in dollars. I am actually quite surprised cause I thought only domiciliary account can receive foreign currency. I don’t know what to do? Although, I saw a cash pick up option. But felt it was not necessary if a bank deposit could be done directly in two working days time. The receiver’s bank is access bank. Any help pls ?

You can request dollars if you sent it there via worldremit and aboki exchange is usually higher

Please someone sent me money from world remit through bank deposite but, I am still unable to see any alert, but a message was sent to me from world remit that money has been sent to my account in USD but I am still yet to receive any message from my bank
