I do not see an aggressive babysitter/mom with the baby. No, the title is showing the cat's (mistaken) interpretation of events. He heard the kid scream from getting cut on the glass, and assumed that someone had caused the injury intentionally. Or maybe the woman yelled at the kid in a very stern voice, to keep it from going near the glass... imagine you're the cat. You hear a crash and an angry-sounding voice. You fear violence is occuring! He logically figured that if someone had hurt his baby, then it was likely the large human acting agitated next to the baby. It makes sense from the cat's point of view... he thought he was protecting his baby from an adult gone crazy. He was being heroic!

The toddler pushed the cup off the table, and it broke. The sitter then grabbed his arm, and the toddler either cried or yelled loudly, altering the cats in another room to come to his aid. The black cat was keeping the babe away from his aggressor, while the other cat was following him around, I guess for moral support. Hopefully, the parents will know better than to hire her again. She possibly may have hurt him, and at the very least made him cry or yell when she grabbed his arm. Also, she was irresponsible for having a breakable cup near the edge of the table where the tot could push it off. Kudos to the cats for protecting their baby!
