As a retired Fire Fighter (went out on injury @age 48) which sucked,,,,25 years fighting fires in a busy city. We never had a dull moment. Good luck finding Wildland Fire Fighter on USA jobs. Let us be real here, you will start and most likely finnish as a 6 month at most temporary employee with the title of Forestry Technician making 10- 12 bucks an hour. Maybe you will get a Permanent position eventually and be committed for a career. Maybe you will be so broken that you have to find a new job.

Even after my husband retired from the Forest Service, when fires season gets close his adrenaline gets moving for that call to go out on fires again. We love our firefighters.
