Not sure why ya'll are hating on Jerm. He is plenty self deprecating when he plays poorly, but he shot the hot-round of the tournament this round. Also, it's got to be tough to comment on your own playing and not sound like a tool when you're hitting line after line like he did. As always, love the Big Sexy commentary.

I told you before- I played baseball. I was always the homerun chaser; always swinging for the fences. But when I got into HS, and the pitches got faster/more varied, I hit less over the fence and started getting out more than I was scoring. My ERA tanked. My coach taught me to use my power to hit grounders/place my hits vs just cranking for the fence. It did wonders for my ERA, and my psyche!

In his defense, he played the hot round. And he had a real score to settle from last year. Plus, I think it's difficult to commentate on your own play and not sound smug when you played so well. What is he supposed to say when he hits shot after shot like he did? I think it's great to hear what's going through a pro's head when they're so dialed in and playing at the top of their game. He's pretty humble about his bad rounds when he's on the mic. Cut him some slack. The Big Sexy team has got to be the best there is right now for entertaining, informative commentary.

Trowing putter, putter and putter is pro? Most stable disc of them all, what ever its not pro at all! Its what annyone can do! All this "love" for Paige is not cool. She is great player, but calling out awsome play on something like 3 putter trows is just sad!
@tannernoordam3620
@tannernoordam3620 6 жыл бұрын
Gramald the "love" and "praise" for Paige by throwing putter putter putter is totally deserved. A hole that long and intimidating, and a pro knowing not to get too aggressive with that much OB and to play within herself and throw the shot she knows she will execute with ease is the sign of a true pro. She knows to play within herself and not get too greedy when she can walk away with an easy par with no OB strokes. You wanna say that "anyone can do that" then you go do it consistently and qualify for the USDGC. Don't think its easy because its putter shots
@Gramald
@Gramald 6 жыл бұрын
Trowing a putter is the easyerst disk to trow, and with far from max power, its easy to controll, praise to those that can trow drivers long and hit were they want, for ever meter longer you trow the harder its to hit the "bulleys". So she trows a easy disk and get more praise then someone trowing a hard disk. i dont get that! As putters handle wind good as long you dont trow it on hizer or anhizer. I trow in a country that in plauged with wind.. and putter shots are my goto when i need placement shots in alot of wind, and can trow straigth. IM far from pro, but omg i can do those shot she did easy, but i what the other on the card did, with drivers, way waaaaaay harder to do. So i dont get it at all, i should prob take the praise she gets and feel like a pro! LOL
@tannernoordam3620
@tannernoordam3620 6 жыл бұрын
Gramald you're still not getting it, good for you if you can throw putters well, so can I, I've played ultimate for 6 years so trust me, I know how to throw a putter. She's getting praise for throwing consistent shots and playing with in herself. Good for you if you think you can execute those shots, but come tournament time, she would've walked away with her par and you would've most likely walked away with much worse. Don't try to sell Paige short just because she threw a shot that you can throw too. I can throw a 500' drive, that doesn't mean I should mock a pro for not parking a 500' hole just because I know I can do it. Paige threw her highest percentage shot and go the score she was looking for, and she deserves some praise for that. This is the USDGC we're talking about, the biggest tourney in all of disc golf and she is playing in the open division with people who are far further throwers than she is. She is playing smart golf because she knows that the Winthrop Gold course will kick you to shit if you don't execute. Stop trying to make yourself feel better by hating on a player making smart decision and saving herself strokes
@tannernoordam3620
@tannernoordam3620 6 жыл бұрын
Gramald look at Paul Mcbeth, he himself claimed that 500' is his comfort zone and that he has full confidence that he can execute that shot. Look at Jerm, he has one of the best sidearms in the game, its his comfort shot when he knows what he needs, sidearm isn't that hard, but you don't claim that what he ever does is easy. And again, sure you can throw that putter shot AT YOUR OWN COURSE WITH NO PRESSURE, you can tell me its easy when you're a sponsored pro who could execute that hole THE EXACT SAME WAY every time with ease. And by claiming that "you should get the praise and yet she gets to feel like the pro" which is exactly what you said, you are mocking her skill as a professional and not giving her any credit for just how fantastic of a player she is. Until you figure that out, you have no right to say that what she did was easy. I agree with what you are saying, throwing a 250' putter placement shot is easy, but I know for a fact that neither of us could do it consistently enough in the big of a tournament, with that many people around and with that much pressure to be able to say that what Paige did was easy. I'm not pulling these claims out of my ass, I'm simply putting what you claim into a different context
@Gramald
@Gramald 6 жыл бұрын
I follow all disk golf tournaments and happeings and can say for sure you not rigth in your statement that they trow 500` bulleye with ease! They trow that distance but not will that presision you claim. And since you clearly cant read or understand what i said, ill say it again, She is great player, but calling out awsome play on something like 3 putter trows is just sad! GREAT PLAYER! You can read that now? So stop claiming i type something else then i do! You also agree its easy to trow a putter that range. And talk for yourself about nerves and not being able to do it when some people are watching, clearly you have not competed enough in your life to learn its the same if your alone, with friends or 100s of people. Its all about self control, and if you lack that, it dont mean others do! And yeah side arm are easy to trow, back hand, tumber, tombahawk and all trows are easy, as long you know howto trow them and got some practise! Clearly we will never see eye to eye on what i ment, that the commentators was giving her to much credit on the 3x putt trow hole. You just tok this far out of context and claim shit about me and invent stuff, like your writing a fairytale with some real life impulses! Plz just stay real and dont make talk about a whale when the subject was a chicken! You gota undertand its not the same thing, rigth? Your not a dumb fuck so dont make yourself look like 1!
