The App for Android is called (File mager plus) after downloading it you will be able to read files, play video and Audio from USB flash drive. It is amazing. It is a free App

Yes the flash drive needs to be connected to the OTG cable and you can transfer pretty much any file from point A to B. Now most android phones have USB C ports, so if you have a USB C flash drive it's just plug and data transfers. Note: If you go the USB C flash drive rout, make sure it fits comfortably well in port even if your phone is in a case.

Hi, I have a couple questions. I bought two flashdrives hoping to be able to transfer my photos and documents off my android phone. But, neither one even fits into my phone's port. Each one just falls out of the port as though neither are compatible. I bought a Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive USB type C 256 GB, and a BAR Plus 128 GB Samsung USB 3.1. Cant use either one. Do I need an OTG Adapter or an OTG Cable or something else? Don't want to keep purchasing items i won't be able to use. Thanks

I stored audio recordings from a digital recorder & with one phone, moved audio from rec to phone then to USB flash drive but I used a different phone the next time & I lost all the recordings & software too, so I am very cautious to move windows audio recordings to a USB flash but I have no desktop PC only a Android phone so what do I need to?

See if the TV supports video through USB flash drive. Also, plug the USB in your computer to see if the files are their
