This 2 part series on how to hit the driver is probably the best driver video I have ever seen! You break down the complicated golf driver swing to simple, understandable components. Aimee, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

Hi Aimee. This is the best explanation of the driver swing and setup that I have seen. You are a gifted natural teacher, if I lived close I'd sign up for lessons. I have been playing for 4 years(I'm 65yo), and driving has always been inconsistent. But you've given me some solid fundamentals to work on. I enjoy your lessons, and you are as sweet as can be ;-)

Aimee, I am a 5 handicap and the shot keeping me from getting better was the hip slide push weak fade drive especially when I wanted to hit it farther on long par 4's and par 5's. I just finished playing and I can say that the sit-down move and throwing the club worked great. Two days ago I hit 5 weak push fades and today I hit none and I had the confidence that it will work every time. I am watching all your videos. Thank you so much.

Best driving video ever! I've watched hours and hours of driving instruction videos and nobody has ever explained the "sit-down" move as clearly as you, Aimee. In fact, most of them encourage a lateral shift of the hips to begin the downswing, followed by a violent hips twist, which feels weird and causes all kinds of problems. Thank you VERY MUCH!

Amiee, You're a gift and I love your style of teaching. Great explanations, logical thought processes with easy to follow drills. It is amazing that after all my years of lessons and practicing this crazy game, I'd never heard of "Throw thru the Ball" using my abs or Obliques to hit the driver. And, the combo of swing, squat, throw is a real eye opener. Only word I can think of to describe it is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! B/c after doing your drills, practicing and correctly performing the swing, squat, throw using my abs/oblique its already improved my drives. Honestly, It will take more time and work to translate the three steps into my pre-shot mental thought process and develop consistent muscle memory. However, you've given us a gift that will help all of us who are struggling to hit the driver correctly so we can continue to enjoy this wonderful game we all love. Thank you!

Aimee, Superb video I hit 250 yards after following this video and the other two driver videos. I have been playing golf only for four years and am 69 years old. Until I saw your video series I hit my driver shots as I do with my irons with the lateral shift. I watch so many golf videos everyday but never found someone saying hit the driver on the back foot. Many thanks Aimee.

Hi Aimee, I'm a senior golfer and watching your videos have definitely helped my game. Your instruction with a 3 wood has helped me from topping it. I was hitting my driver low. Even with a HL driver with the shaft adjusted to higher, I was hitting it low about 200 yds. Now, after your instructions, I am able to get it high in the air with a carry of 250 yards. Thank you. Come by the club sometime and l'll buy you the best Arnold Palmer you ever had! 👼

This was a very helpful lesson, I like the way you focused on the sensations of using your abs. Tried this on the driving range and noticed a difference. Actually, if I focused on initiating with my abs, I then focus on a my shoulders engaging, then my arms, and I'm no longer swinging my arms and the club is just going along for the ride, Very clean hits, straight and long. Thanks,
@suesmiles7 жыл бұрын
Such a good video. Thank you Aimee. Most pros only tell you about the swing and not the stance and how to use the abs. I'm a beginner and was so frustrated, I was almost ready to throw away my driver. But now I'm looking forward to trying your method. Great explanation and analysis.

Hi Aimee, I am a 9 handicap golfer and regularly struggle with over rotation of hips, then I move into the fault of throwing my hips forward to try to avoid over rotation. (Both very clearly not correct according to your instructions.) Your examples of kneeling to feel the core. Keeping in mind 3 separate units; legs, core, arms and then the 3 separate movements makes total sense of it all. I plan to use this training myself . Also to loosen my wrists and feel the 'swoosh' I have high hopes and am excited to try it all out. Thank you Clare (UK)

3:44 is what I am doing and it is hard to find anyone on KZbin addressing this or showing what not to do. Thank you so much!!! I am also struggling with my left hand grip getting loose when I start my downswing. Maybe I am starting my downswing too early. I will try stopping at the top drill.

Thank you for your outstanding explanations and demonstrations with drills. You truly have a gift for communicating and getting to the point without being too wordy. I have taken lessons for over 30 years and have a 15 handicap and only drive the ball about 170 yards. I would like to drive further to make those longer par fours more accessible in regulation. I work out regularly and add golf specific core exercises and stretches. Please devote a video to forearm rotation or flat left wrist at impact, or more instruction getting a better release. Thank you Aimee! You have the best explanation out there. I will practice with your instructions tmrw. Updated: It's tmrw, and I remembered your tips from this lesson as well as the previous ... 32. I couldn't believe my eyes and the feeling. The fence is 250 yards away, and before, I could rarely get it there, slice if anything, but today, I sent many balls there, riding the fence down. I swung freely, powerful, flexible, and felt the club pulling on me at the Y point, pulling my head up to the finish position. A gentleman behind me commented, you really lagged the club, I showed him, it was a stiff flex men's shaft. He couldn't believe it. THANK YOU AIMEE!!! You are the best teacher on the youtube by FAR!!!! I've seen many videos, but this one explains exactly what to do.
