"The video is about a website called Access Analog that allows users to remotely control and use high-end professional audio equipment through a plugin. This means users can experience the sound of expensive gear like Neve compressors, SSL consoles, and the legendary Bricasti reverb without having to purchase the actual hardware. The speaker emphasizes the cost-effectiveness and accessibility of this service, allowing audio engineers and musicians to experiment with top-tier equipment without the significant financial investment. He also highlights the educational value of the platform, enabling users to learn about and compare different pieces of gear before making a purchase." -Google Gemini ♏ summary.

I think this is a cool way to test hardware for sure. One thing I learned quickly is that plugins come way closer than I expected, though I admittedly don't have golden ears.

Agreed! Certain plugins surprised me as well. I don't have the goldenest of ears but I do have Plugin Doctor and it works with the Analog Matrix plugin. It's much easier to separate the wheat from the chaff now that I (and you and all of us!!!) can use the real gear without the confirmation bias of spending $$$$! 😀

That's honestly pretty damn cool. I haven't done much music the past couple years, but even when I was more active about 95% of my needs were covered my Analog Obsession and other free sources. That's not at all to bash the real deal or paid VSTs even, just realistically for my needs and use case I could do what I needed without dropping much coin. In this day and age its amazing all the stuff at our fingertips to just create. It's all tools at the end of the day.

@@jerrylmusic one of the new official reissues or a clone? Because the real vintage ones are way too overpriced.

Is it worth it??🤔 Unfortunately no…not at all. Not for the average listener, listening on EarPods, Bluetooth speakers and through streaming services. The ROI doesn’t pan out.🤷🏾♂
@RealHomeRecording22 күн бұрын
@@doodoogtube I suppose it depends on your wants and goals. This is certainly a luxury service and it's why I have a digital tier, a hybrid tier and a virtually all analog tier of mixing/mastering services. The all analog one obviously being the most expensive.

@@RealHomeRecording 😂My bad dawg…I meant the $3,000-$4,000 price tag of gear, not the service.😂🤦🏾♂️ My bad I was answering your questions in the beginning about is paying all that money for the actual gear worth it. 🙏🏾 again, my apologies and great video too! 🦾🫡
