This tray seemed helpful for you. I'd do that monthly until you only have your favorites left (I'd say at least 8/10s). Do you have a specific declutter goal? Like let go 30% or a max number of bottles left?

Yes! Very helpful! I think my goal is about 50% of my current collection but really it's just to have things I love and am excited to wear. I would love all of my collection to be 8-10s!! That seems like a great bar to set!

This has been in my watch later list and I am finally getting some time to catch up! You're so right about the little nuances in some perfumes that make you hesitant to reach for them.. I need to be more aware of that next year and for my coming declutters!

YES! I have so many things and I'm learning to embrace my quirks. Sometimes it's the bottle, a scent memory, or just not identifying with a fragrance regardless if we like it or not.

I got so many fragrances in my closet to declare, but went back to smell them and many really do change for the better after they sit but some can just sit and sit and never change and they really do have to go💛

Yes! I love been noticing that alot too. Some age so perfectly 👌 I've noticed so many last and project so much more after some time!

@@kristinmary4025 I've had that happen so many times! Specially any dupe houses! I've been wearing Angel's Share that I've had for a couple of years and it's now beast mode! I only need 3 sprays and it projects and lasts like 8 hours then stays on clothes for days! That makes it worth the money!

That’s funny because the dupe house Dua is what really got me to know the importance of letting a fragrance sit. A few that I ordered had arrived and I was so appalled. I almost threw them out, not really, but I didn’t want them put them in the back of my closet, planning on selling them on Mercari. Went back couple months later, and was amazed, like some of those became my fave.

@@kristinmary4025 yes! I think that's where I first heard of maceration maybe. I always knew about vanilla changing color and getting deeper and richer but not maceration. I have the Dua Angel's Share dupe and it's one of my favorites! I noticed DUAs are so strong that I don't always love the scent from sniffing the bottle, it has to be worn to get the true scent! Same thing with Kyse perfumes, I think it's the concentration.
