I used to have one of those in the house I lived in with my husband, and they also make them where boiling water already comes out, ready instantly. Although I will say… If you're not a chef or some thing, it might be not that functional/practical. But the thing he has is very convenient!

You are not wrong. My ex-husband and I had one, but that's only because we bought a brand new house, and it was already installed. We did not choose to spend the money to incorporate it in there. You are right, they are very expensive, and honestly, All you had to do was fill the pot up across a few tiles from the sink. But I get it, if you are a chef and you want the boiling water version (which is way more expensive even then) then I guess, OK.
