An appositive / appositive noun or appositive phrase is a noun phrase that follows another noun phrase and provides additional information about it. The two words or phrases are described as being in apposition. For example - The author of The Tempest and The Hamlet, Shakespeare used to play roles in dramas. 'Shakespear' is appositive noun. Chandragupta, the founder us Mauryan dynasty, gave up his throne in favour of his son and adapted Jainism. 'the founder of Mauryan dynasty,' - Apositive noun clause or case in apposition.

No, He slept after having switched off the lights. Or He slept after switching off the lights. Or (After) (having) Switching off the lights, he slept.

Respected sir, I have a question. In 'I reached home" the object of reach is 'Home'. But as per Grammar--- the answer of "what reach" OR 'whom reach' is not HOME. Whereas to be object the answer must be "Home" Kindly answer.

HOME is not an OBJECT but COMPLEMENT of verb REACH
