I feel sad that youth don't have that much interest in debates and educational stuff like these

Both debates candidates are unaware that tiktok does not have only 15-second video, it has limit up to 10 minutes video. 🤐 Both are debating but there is no one to fact check

While your observation is very interesting, it is important to look at what kind of content people actually consume on tik-tok. For example, KZbin (even before youtube shorts) had both 10 second and 10 minute videos. However, as we can now see, the platform was mostly recognized for it's long form content and that's what people watched primarily too. Tiktok similarly, might have both short and long form content but mostly, the content that people produce as well as consume is short form i.e. 15 second clips. (TLDR:People don't want to watch documentaries on tiktok). So I think that this debate is still very relevant.

i really love this series. Please make more of these. Could you do one on the education system of Nepal? One side could argue why it’s good and effective, while the other side could discuss its flaws and areas that need improvement.

I think Mimamsha crushed the other guy in this debate. The argument that TikTok is bad for society and should be banned due to social reasons and algorithmic reasons is ridiculous because the algorithm is literally the same in YT Shorts and Instagram Reels. Government shouldn't have a right to supress speech and conduct moral policing. Moral policing is a slippery slope. That creates scenarios like we are seeing in Syria, Iran, etc. Only reason I think TikTok should be banned is because of my deep distrust towards the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and their alterior motives. Nepal is in a very delicate situation in foreign policy surrounded by two countries which are going to be powerhouses in the next century. TikTok, controlled by CCP, can perpetuate the existing anti-India sentiment through their closed source algorithm. We have seen examples of how TikTok is using data from users to fuel them with chinese propaganda. We cannot afford Chinese media with ulterior motive manipulate our citizens, most of whom dont have information literacy to differentiate right from wrong. Mimamsha was talking about free speech, but TikTok is itself isnt a free speech platform. Chinese Communist Party hates free speech. Many instances of Hong Kong protests, news around Tianmen Square massacre, etc are suppressed by TikTok. I believe TikTok should be banned, but the intention for the ban should not be for moral policing or whatever stupid reason Government gave. I do agree with Mimamsha that free speech should be protected at all costs, and an app shouldn't be banned just because it is addictive. People should be allowed to make choices for themselves.

To couter you , why did you support other guy point.. she didn't crushed other guy but he lacks the main point. Do you think that the girl could have countered the point you gave now? Being honest I couldn't have, but the point told by guy is not wrong though. He just sticked to certain point thats his weakness.. Do you think our freedom of speech is being violated than how she is conveying her message. Tik tok not being banned is proof that state is listening to you. I want answer to one question Lets suppose you control lion for the entertainment purpose in circus it increase revenue for the owner, you know lion can kill human but you know its being controlled. What will you do if its kill anyone there?? Do you blame lion or the person who controls him??

My main point is that you need to remove the rotten plant before it spreads the virus to the other plants.

@@saileshkc7380 i meant to say she crushed the other guy in terms of this debate. Not using the main point was the guy's fault. For example if you are playing football and keep your best player in the bench and lose, you still lost. Its not the opponent's fault that you didn't play your best player. I think if the guy brought up CCP two things could happen: 1) Paradygm would cut that part because they don't want to anger the chinese government . TikTok has been doing a lot of partnerships with popular creators like Oshin Sitaula, MyDarlingFood etc these days so it's quite clear they see Nepal as a important market geopolitically. Otherwise why would they care about Nepali market? We have 30million population, not even 1% of the world population. TikTok spending resources in Nepal cannot be a solely business decision at all. If you ban Meta/Instagram they wont even care since it is only 30 million people in Nepal. Those 30 millions aren't even profitable people for TikTok from an advertisement perspective. Trying to stay relevant in Nepal is purely a geopolitical decision made by TikTok with the help of their owners, the chinese government. TikTok has much bigger fish to fry like in the USA , where senate is trying to ban TikTok due to security risks. (This guy brought up USA but said something weird like "baddie culture" "teenage pregnancy". That isn't why US is banning tiktok. I live in US and first time Im hearing about TikTok being banned due to baddie culture. What the hell does that even mean? Teenage pregnancy was a problem in the USA since 70s and it is a product of the country being more progressive and not seeing sex as a taboo. Not at all saying freedom is bad. I'd take 100 teenage pregncies instead of thousands of girls getting killed for dowry or sent to live in a hut for mensurating or grown men commenting about what women wear). 2) Mimamsha could for the sake of debate counter it by saying if TikTok is chinese propaganda then Meta is American propaganda. But deep down I think she also would know that there is a lot of difference between US Business, which aren't contolled by the government and are allowed to operate freely making business decisions and the Chinese Businesses, which are controlled solely by the state. See what happened to Alibaba and Jack Ma after he complained about the business friendliness of China.

@@saileshkc7380 whay you are saying is absolutely true. TikTok needs to be stopped before it becomes so addictive that people will go to any extent to use it. Imagine downloading VPN and using a stupid app. That is how addictive it already is. It was good if people were addictied to something neutral which was just for fun, but it is a tool that CCP can use at any time to spread propaganda in Nepal.
@saileshkc7380Ай бұрын
@@sanskarneupane9702 you are moving the topic now its about geopolitics.. The point you said earlier was you were concerned about data breach by china .. Both the country does but law of USA is different nations protect its.. And i think you haven't answered my all question.
