i don’t think this has ever happened to me. the keyboard will type on the screen that your mouse is in. are you saying the mouse moved back to the other screen while you were holding down a key?

@grothaal if you are connected to a vpn I’m pretty sure you would still be able to communicate with devices on your network but I don’t know what you mean by another domain

what if on Mac it keeps saying "starting barrier" but nothing else happens? Firewall allows incoming traffic for barrier. side note: Got 3 monitors setup for win pc and 2 for Mac.

got the answer quicker than I thought. Messed around for many days but now I got it: Just disable SSL in the settings.

sorry for the late response i didn’t get a notification but you shouldn’t have to disable ssl for it to work. I’ve had that issue too. I turned on ssl for both computers(it should be on by default) and one time i also just completely uninstalled barrier from both computers and installed it again because i messed something up. If you disable the ssl option the traffic between your server and client wont be encrypted but if you’re just using it on your home wifi it won’t really matter.

I was having this error at first: ERROR: ssl certificate doesn't exist: ERROR: could not load client certificates ERROR: ssl error occurred (system call failure) ERROR: failed to connect secure socket Which I fix Disabling the SSL option in the settings

SSL is an important feature to have on unless you will only be using this on ur network. Because without SSL, the data that it sends will be unencrypted. Barrier should be creating the SSL certificate automatically though. If you go to that location do you see the pem file?

yeah and you will connect with the server's local ip address

im not too sure. idk if your mobile hotspot will act as a router and assign local ip addresses to each computer. If it does, then you can connect to the server with the server's local ip address

It really just depends on the settings of the vpn. It might route everything through the vpn server or it might only route external traffic. Try it out and see which it is
