In this video, I'm sharing how I go about using public libraries and code repositories from GitHub. Use other people's code for projects easily with this simplified methodology!
One of the biggest questions that I get from students is how to use other people's open-sourced code on GitHub. To some, this might be very intuitive and "simple" but to beginners, this can cause a lot of frustration.
Key Points:
1. How to use the Mac Terminal (with popular commands)
2. How to clone a repository on GitHub and run the code (Python)
3. How to use Atom (the file editor)
4. Which Dependencies do you need to use other people's code
A huge thanks to @TechWithTim for providing this public code as an example. Over the next few weeks, one of my private students and I are building out a physical version of this AI Checkers game - and this is just one piece of the puzzle.
