Hi Jess. Thanks for the mini slimline cards. They are primarily the ones that I make. I do prefer 12x12 or 6x6 papers for my cards and bases. For your 8x11 cardstock try cutting your card bases at 3 or 3.5. Then score at 6 inches. You will end up with a shorter front on your base. But a nice rectangle will fill it in nicely. Or you can fold the front back and make a Z fold. I hope this helps If you have a 6x6 piece of cardstock. Score it at 3.50. Then you will have a funfold with a nice strip on the side. Depending on the patterns I will use a pattern 6x6 as a base. I really like the mini slimline as I make donation cards all year around for our local community members. Seniors groups etc. But I have a very limited budget. So I live in northern Canada and a small town. It’s not great for getting shipping lots of times. So unless I go to a city. A couple times a year. Then I look at Micheal’s etc. But the size 8 letter envelopes can be bought very cheaply at our local grocery store ans $ stores. I stocked up. 75 envelopes for 1.25 my last trip in. So I love to see and templates or ideas you have for mini slimline. And I will try to alter some of your other templates to work with them. Thanks for sharing your ideas and talent with us. Have a great day. Ps. Would love to see cards and sentiments for national day of kindness or random acts of kindness cards. Ones we can donate. Or hand out when we are just out and about.

I had trouble with efficient bases for mini slimline too because my 12x12 paper was all flimsy. Great idea about using two colors for bases and swapping the scraps. 💙👍

Or seal them in 12x12 page protectors (close the opening with clear packing tape!) and trim off the part with the holes and use them as placemats. The inspirational ones are especially good for this. They also make cute boxes.

Where do you get the atg tape for $1 and how many rolls do you get for that price.
@JessCrafts2 жыл бұрын
I get them from Tape Jungle. If you buy 144 rolls it comes out to $1.21 a roll. It's a lot to buy at once but worth it for the amount I craft.
