Prisoner can actually counter a photographer if played correctly, a prisoner can connect to a cipher and transmit 48% to someone who is and sometines a cipher is done before camera world ends and supports other characters decoding to speed it up before camera world ends/ he can also avoid photographers 75% hit if he uses the shock correctly -a prisoner main and a photographer main

Fun fact about wu chang: when he's about to teleport with his umbrella, enchantress can stun him to cancel his teleport aswell as restart his cooldown. This probably sounds really obvious to a lot of people already, but i only found this out like 3 days ago or so ;-;

Here are some counters to Bloody Queen for you: Seer counters because he can farm multiple owls to take mirror hits with Perfumer counters because she can spray perfume to take mirror hits without punishment

Polun's not mentioned in the video but I wanted to share this as a Polun player - Gravekeeper is a strong counter to Polun, if not the biggest counter to them currently. Polun is unable to spike a GK while he is digging, making rescues easier especially if Polun is camping in wheel form. EDIT: The spikes will not be removed even if the GK is hit out of burrowing state, but it still tanks damage for him. However, Polun is able to use their first skill (snap) to snap the GK out of burrowing state without attack recovery. Furthermore, this snap will still inflict the spike chip damages depending on how many spikes the GK has (Let's say the GK has 2 spikes on him and starts burrowing, Polun can snap him out of burrowing state AND inflict the 0.5 damage on him) So overall, GK is Polun's biggest rescue counter, but situational otherwise as a Wheel-formed Polun would not commit to chasing a GK anyway - Mercenary is another counter to Polun, although not as good as GK. It takes 3 spikes to instant down a merc through a normal attack since having only 2 just activates delayed damage, unlike the rest where you can just spike them twice and it'd be enough for an instant KO - EDIT: As brought up in the replies, survivors like Gardener, Seer and Perfumer are able to tank spikes being inflicted on them with their skills. which can counter Polun to an extent since Polun's main perk are the spikes. So naturally you want to prevent yourself being spiked too quickly while kiting. However, do know that these surv's skills are either limited and/or have cooldowns. Overall. the greatest counter to polun is vaulting back and forth through a window while they are in wheel form. no survivor can beat this. i might be kidding. but a good way to kite a polun in wheel form as any survivor is constantly doing sharp turns and juking like how you would try to juke a hunter with a big hitbox. just don't attempt to drop pallets to stop them because they can roll through it, save the pallets for when they're not in wheel form. EDIT: There is not really a "best" counter to Polun in terms of everything since Polun has different forms and abilities unique to themselves, but maybe it'll change in the future. For now, the most optimal way to counter Polun *as a team* is to play survivors that are good Polun rescuers and good Polun kiters (with skills). Polun is still a new hunter after all and there are still many ways to explore to see what works out against them Also thank you kind sir for sharing how First Officer can be a counter to Bonbon when rescuing, I personally really love playing First Officer for rescuer and this shed light to me about his increased potential with his buff

I agree that survivors that can resist spikes are viable counters to Polun, but as metioned, their skills have a cooldown and/or are limited. The main perk for Polun that makes them unique as a hunter is their spikes ofc and naturally survs want to focus on not getting spiked and buying enough time while kiting their non-wheel form (basically, just like kiting a hunter with detention). I've ran some tests on Polun a while after I made that initial comment and found out new things about how they work and their counters, will be editing the comment with my findings after this reply! Personally after what you've brought up and the tests I've ran, GK is indeed the best rescuer against Polun but he's situational otherwise. A wheel-formed Polun would not chase a burrowing GK in under any circumstances (unless that GK is the last survivor), so GK is really only counters Polun in terms of doing a successful rescue. What I found out was that Polun can also force a GK out of burrowing with their snap skill as long as the GK has 1 spike on him, and still inflict that 0.25 damage on the GK depending on the amount of spikes he has (If the GK has 2 spikes and is burrowing, Polun is able to snap him out of burrowing + inflict that 0.5 damage on him) Overall while there seems like there is no "best" counter for Polun in terms of both rescuing and kiting, maybe there will be a survivor in the future to cater to this. but for now, having a team comp which consists of viable rescuers and kiters to counter Polun in at least 1 of their forms would be the most optimal

an interesting detail, I played a lot of polun And I had a hard time about enchantress, Because she manages to cancel polun ability 2, Which is the skill that makes the spikes damage you, She just needs to pay attention to the hunter's animation, which takes a few seconds to actually go out of animation and deal damage. So that would be a tip for both sides, to be careful or train a time to cancel polun's 2 ability, Maybe one day this will be useful for someone! I would say it may or may not make much of a difference, but the longer you take Hunter's time, the better But this can be useful in tarot (OBS: Sorry for any grammatical error)

ooh yeah! any forms of short stuns can cancel out polun's second ability, such as enchantress' stuns and prisoner's stun (as seen in IVL) which is really helpful!! the more you stall polun, the more time the others have to decode. definitely a good strategy here!! tysm for sharing!!

I once have a match where I'm the Toy Merchant, I put the catapult down and whenever Polun comes, me and the other survivors just yeet away. For some reasons, they don't break the catapults. In the end, they surrendered even though there was still 3 ciphers left. I feel kind of bad though I panic whenever I encounter a hunter

I feel like Cowboy counters BQ. When she summons a mirror I'll usually just use my lasso on her and fly over to the side with no mirror image. The acceleration boost from the lasso allows me to transition to a pallet or window and I don't have to deal with the mirror image.

As a Bloody Queen top 400, people who can easily eat hits are a slight counter. More of a nuisance than anything. Building presence isn’t as big of a deal (imo) as a BQ, because I rely heavily on my mirror image and those perks aren’t always necessary. So survivors like perfumer and seer in high tier are more difficult to go against. First officer too is somebody I don’t like going against because I cannot tell where he is and I could possibly waste a mirror. She’s a very basic hunter at her core, so there’s not much survivors can do to counter BQ, which is probably why she’s banned often.

Perfumer can actually counter Disciple if you spray the perfume during the disciple's jump animation, you will get stunned by her cats and the stun will cancel to perfume spraying animation but your perfume will still be sprayed. If she hits you, you can heal back, if she doesn't hit you, you can still transition

For bloody queen, perfumer and priestess on some maps can counter her Many perfumer can easily take the hit of the mirror using the perfume Priestess on maps such as eversleeping, China town, and moonlit is broken. Anyway, she counters by making the hunter waste the mirror as she could portal a really long distance on those maps causing Mary to be unable to hit her. (Ah yes those beautiful moments in season 2 where hunters can’t go through portal and you would just stare at the priestess on the opposite side of the bridge and the portal right in front of you)

Explorer counters Bloody Queen, BQ cannot see Explorer when he is small. Even though he could still get hit, but he can buy a few seconds to make a BQ look for him. Perfumer is also good against BQ because Bloody Queen cannot predict their perfume and her presence increasing doesnt make a lot of difference.

Entomologist is a good counter to hunters today. As you mention, she can block foggy blades, clown dash, soul webber range attack, she can also block bane hook, with the proper utilization of her bees. Also she can also help to the rescue against hunter who are good at camping such as Bon Bon, Galatea, Hastur, and even Ann, cause she cash push them away, while the rescuer rescue the chaired survivor. She can assist teammates in certain parts of the map with strategically placing her bees, and also with the help of her bess she can assist on disrupting the hunter, when she is ballooning a survivor, or she can just help when there is a harraser such as forward, prospector, cowboy, the bees can push the hunter away after they drop the survivor.

I noticed that while the breaking wheel is on the thumbnail, they are not in the video, so as a will brothers main, here are some tips for surviving the breaking wheel! 1. DON’T try to stun or use any item on the will brothers while they are in wheel mode since most items don’t do anything while in wheel. 2. Always be prepared to face against a breaking wheel. Many of the people who play this hunter will use the wheel to crash into ciphers and spiking unsuspecting survivors who were expecting a much slower foe 3. If you think the wheel is coming towards you, crouch down and hide under something. I often miss survivors while wheeling due to how fast the breaking wheel goes 4. Go in VERY packed spaces, especially buildings with multiple floors. The wheel can be a bit hard to turn sometimes, so going through places with lots of obstacles can slow the hunter down. 4.5. Only pallet if you’re in a tight space as mentioned before. The breaking wheel will often become too slow to break it while knocking into walls. 5. When the will brothers are into normal “human” mode, going into kiting areas that are basically a bunch of barrels in a circle with 3-4 pallets can help. Many breaking wheel mains are reluctant to break pallets while not in wheel mode, so going into one of those areas can force them into wheel mode, but then they can’t get inside the circle since they haven’t gained enough momentum. 6. If you have any spikes in you and you’ve lost the will brothers, immediately take them out since it will always have you crouch down, so the will brothers might not notice you in the corner removing spikes.

Forgot another important tip! When you get spiked, the wheel has a 7 second period where running you over will no longer spike you. This gives you a chance to move to a more concentrated area, and is crucial due to the fact that two spikes is enough for the will brothers to one shot you after their next hit. Also, don’t stay in groups. Staying in groups allows the breaking wheel to spike several people at once and then choose one person from the group to incapacitate, only to knock the rest out later. Finally, mercenary is strong against the breaking wheel due to his ability to wait a bit before being knocked out and having a fast getaway.

You can do it! try using butterflies to mindgame, sometimes you can trick survivors into vaulting towards you. teleports practically a must, its your best defence against cipher rush. pallete breaking also pretty handy. if you attack out of soul departure you won't triggering a recovery animation, meaning you can potentially double hit. also soul departure gives increase range on you butterflies and dash.

Actually prospector and Ann go both ways. Ann can cancel her attack recovery if she charge attacks a prospector with a magnet on him since the range of her attack is long enough to hit without the magnet activation but it will activate it after she hits - hence resetting the cooldown. -Ann main

Both mercenary and seer are sort of counters to Hell Ember, since they often requiere phantoms, puppets and Leo himself to get knocked down on a rescue when they have full health/owl ready, which means using 2 fury charges and hitting 3 times, something very difficult for puppets specially since they can be tapped to be shut down. Mercenary also has his elbow pads as a tool to gain distance with Hell Ember easily, and seer can use his owls to simply ignore phantoms cutting through his way.

While yes her dovolins are good to eliminate that . 25 damage survs can't heal, she only has two dovolins and if she uses both to heal herself she'd need to mix the second which would take double the time since she's hurt. I use barmaid quite frequently and I don't feel she's good against him.

Idk if its just me but i feel like magician could be a good counter to game keeper as if he uses his wand after getting hit he can get that slight speed boost and keep kiting As most gamekeepers try and hit you after they grab you with the hook and magicians illusion can block that...i think. I remember doing it one time

Entomologist is the most broken characters. She fully.counters soul weaver and smily face. She has her car, i mean bees that are super fast, and leave no trail. She can counter violinist slowness effect.

Perfumer also good towards Undead. Usually I always died faster than anyone. But i did Kite 4 cipher machines with perfumer against Undead.

Long stun Survivors like painter, coord, and forward can counter sculptor and bonbon, all 3 of them are high risk high reward but if done correctly can guarantee a perfect rescue Ench/prosp can somewhat counter Mary, of you time their stun correctly you can cancel her mirror, which restarts the cooldown I'd say barmaid and Joseph counter each other, yes barmaid can heal 25 damage but when she gets hit all of her alcohol is useless (dovlin only heals 50% so you're still in 25% health) using her speed boost is a lot more risky because she can get downed instantly

Bq has a really bad hit box and movement speed so she relies a lot on her mirror image to get hits, so survivors like gardener,perfumer,seer who can tank hits are a huge counter to her

enchantress is good against bloody queen since she can cancel her mirror what gives her couldown also perfumer since bq mains dont realy look at surv's statuses so when mary's mirror is about to attack her she can use perfumer to perfume back

Honestly I feel that the thing about prospector countering Anne is really wrong. If she jumps and stuns him and he had a magnet on her, she can’t get a hit on him way before his magnet reacts so it’s really a lost cause for his abilities unless he somehow stuns her. Infect I feel like Anne really instead counters prospector for the simple reason that she CAN hit him before his magnets react.

It is useful but theres a problem. Survivors cant confirm what hunter will be and hunter will be aware of what kind survivor they will used. So, Humter has a big advantage to use.
