Austin you really come into your own on this channel. Keep up the great work. Also as a video idea you should do metallurgy like a ss series of 304/316, carp 20 al6xn. And like a aluminum series like 4000,5000,6000 series

Good video if you wanna be really good learn to walk the cup with both hands practice one pass with your right hand and alternate each hand for each pass or something you’ll be way ahead of most people. I’m not good with it, but I can’t tell you how many times I get into a position welding pipe where using my left hand is a lot easier I can somewhat make do, but if you can get really consistent with both hands, that’s a whole Nother skill level my friends 👍

Can you do a video on Gap filling with different weld methods? I know gaps are normal small but reality gave me half an inch today
@AustinHargett2 ай бұрын
Haha I’m sure we can make that happen
@delayedsantana2 ай бұрын
Your …..gap is half an inch long? Maybe I should learn more about welding to not freak out at that sentence. Gap filling. Penetration. I thought this was construction. And that’s what’s wrong nowadays.

So I might be getting a Vevor 210 amp TIG welder for Christmas (I’m 16 and yes I like presents) but I’ve been watching video I have yet to find a video that mentions how much gas I need.
@AustinHargett2 ай бұрын
You need like 25 cfh. You can get different size bottles.
@MikeYurbasovich2 ай бұрын
Get the biggest bottle you can. 330 cf gives you 250 hours of hood time. Run 12-15 cfh mostly with most nozzles I usually use a little on the high side.
@MissouriMetal2 ай бұрын
@ do you know like a price Range one would cost for renting a brand new bottle?
@MikeYurbasovich2 ай бұрын
@MissouriMetal I would expect to pay around 200 bucks and a monthly tank rental fee. I'm in Wisconsin though, so not sure if that makes a difference.

Hello. Great Video. Are the Parts on the Torch 3D printed? I mean the wide handle and the endcap. Is there possibly a file for it? Wouldn`t a 26 Torch help here or would it be too heavy? Greetings from Austria 😉👋

What timing, I had enough free time between jobs at work the past couple days and tried doing this on a piece of angle and then a butt weld with 18ga sheet metal for giggles. Also going to try to fabricate a pipe positioner like that out of scrap parts to make life easier since I tend to keep out little electric one with the laser to weld collars and flanges

Nothing is being "walked". This is WEAVING the cup---not walking.
