Nah as a left handed person my left ring and pinkie are my weakest fingers. Nothing in the world requires me to use them… except for learning how to play on fucking hitbox

The other tip, I can also suggest with your all button controller is to play old school beat em ups like Streets of Rage 4. :)

Guardian heroes is so fun on a hitbox. and it has motion inputs and air dashes so its really good for building muscle memory while still having a ton of fun

Put your player side in random every time the game allows it. Otherwise use a coin when the game offers the choice. DON'T GET ACUSTOMED TO JUST ONE SIDE. Use KoF to practice normal jumps vs hops vs superjumps. Use Tekken to practice sidestep vs sidewalk (practice right and left, in both player sides). Pick a shoto and a charge character. Practice with them alternatively to cover most motions and timings. Practice half circle motions. They are the hardest in leverless.

For me when it comes to the idea of All Buttons, I got used to it via PC do to playing Skullgirls on it for so long. I used WASD as my normal movement and used the number key pad for my six buttons. A tip I wanna offer is to try playing Rythm games if possible. My experience, it helped build up the muscle/dexterity was playing "Stepmania" a lot. The hardest input for me still is 360 input for grappler characters. I dunno if this help, but maybe this'll help someone

Finger training sounds like a good idea. I'll implement that recommendation.

Try a side scroller like the megaman legacy collection. Will force you to adjust to tons of small dexterity challenges

huge issue for me is doing the gg strive super 6246 motion, (i can do it consistently in practice, but you need to imput it like 3x faster when your trying to dp mid blockstring)

Hey kalibur quick question Do you think motion charcaters (half circle/ full circle) are harder on hitbox or same difficulty and speed of motion of arcade stick?
@KaliburJP2 жыл бұрын
Gotta consider a few factors, especially whether or not the game allows you to skip inputs, like diagonals. If so, then that truly does add to the difficulty. The HitBox layout does allow you for more faster and precise inputs, BUT that's if your fingers are precise in the first place. The trade-off for the speed is that you can make mistakes easier if you don't practice. I certainly had issues at the start when learning, but with proper practice, you can certainly get it!

i just build my own hitbox and im trying to get natural with playing with my left thumb because i think there is so many buttons in the right, that your right hand must be free for moving around, but sometimes i get lost between the left high row and the left low row of buttons. I wonder if i'm doing wrong. Maybe hving the location of the right thumb in the 30 mm button gives you a better feel of the location of the other 8 button in the right? And isnt it better to be able to use that 30mm button with any thumb if necesary, or this leads to higher conffusion in difficult combos? ¿What do you think? Great video!
@KaliburJP2 жыл бұрын
Having the 30mm button to be able to be used my both thumbs is useful, at least for me. The reason is that I only use the left thumb for certain complex inputs such as TK inputs. For jumping I almost always use my right thumb. Try to imagine the 30mm as a “jump” button like in Mario. If you’re getting lost it might just mean you need to spend more time to build muscle memory. Always rest your fingers on the top row so you memorize your “default” position without looking. Just keep practicing every day and you will 100% get it!

What is the name of the rhythm game you're showing here?^^ Is that built into strife?

The game is DJMax Respect V and it's on PC and PS4. It's not part of Guilty Gear Strive, but it has tracks from the GG series!
@amrishpatel35012 жыл бұрын
@@KaliburJP I'm gonna play Quaver, since its free to play with my all button controller. Since DJMax Respect V is quite pricey on Steam. Update: I realised later on that I already had a rhythm game called Melody's Escape & that's giving me a huge workout for my fingers. It also works with my all button controller. :) Also Quaver doesn't work with all button controllers or any controller except keyboard. lol :P
