It's definitely something that takes some games to get down to memory. Even still I forget sometimes and after I die I'm like damn... imagine if I just used a trap here lol

I'm interested in picking up Isol because I saw a good Isol player 1v3 the final fight by having a ton of traps shred the enemy team as they rambo'd in. But I'm still learning how items work. I know how to follow an item page, and get a legendary build, though I'm unsure what I'm actually building. I'm basically rushing the build on autopilot, which I don't think is an issue, but then I'm trapless after the early game is over. I would love to learn more about specifically: 1. When do I start picking up traps and what do I look for? --For example, should I be trying to collect some traps in the early game just so I can have them as crafting components later? --Or am I able to just randomly find Claymores wherever? 2. Should I start hunting traps after legendary items, or before? 3. Should I ever skip a legendary item and work on a trap instead? 4. When is it worth using Meteorite or other rare resources to craft a fancy trap instead of a legendary? 5. Knowing I'm looking for more specifics, is there anything you can add or an alternative video you can lead me towards that goes into more explanation on Traps or at least Item Management? Thanks! The video helped cover the basics and your content is decent quality. I love how you showcase the examples in action with no commentary to let us analyze the play ourselves (after you briefly explained it).

Hey! Awesome to hear you're liking Isol. Traps have been reworked a ton since this video. To my knowledge traps now are typically built at the end of game with leftover credits but Isols case may be different. I'm not too sure I'm not really an Isol player. In my Discord, and in my video called The best Eternal Return resources I have a link to a Discord called The Test Subjects Discord. In it you can find answers to character specific questions and resources from one of the top players of that character. They'll be able to give you much more help than I can. As for question 4 you pretty much never want to prioritize a rare resource for a trap or a transition. You'll want to try and use it for your Transitions or a teammates Transitions first, then if no one can use it, use it for a consumable. If your team is full Transitions and full consumables then you can turn it into a trap but if your at that point anyways you're likely strong enough where you wouldn't need traps per se

@@itzLeviVT Gotchya. Thank you for the reply. I've noticed there aren't a lot of up to date guides since the 1.0 came out super recently. I figured that going for the equipments is better than the traps, and for the sake of a new player learning the game, I'm grateful that traps aren't super necessary. I do think that getting good with traps in my wheelhouse could push me over that edge, but it may be too much added complexity for a minor benefit. I'll be sure to join the discord and see what other Isol players are doing. Thanks for the reply!

I've heard for the longest time that Isol's Q also applies his passive. I assumed that it also scales with Trap Mastery in that case, similar to his Ultimate? 🤔

No Isol's Q thankfully does not scale with Trap Mastery. Just the ult.

@@itzLeviVT Lol that's probably for the best. I tried to use the site you recommended during your recent VoD review to find a Pistol AmpSol player, but it seems he's overwhelmingly played with AR. Who knew! 🤷😂

@@Kaeiand Yea its great because, you'll find what the top players are doing and can see the strongest form of each character. But it's a little unfortunate because the top players will seek the most optimal builds which doesn't leave a lot of room for fun.

@@itzLeviVT I mean, I'm not against skewing my play towards a more optimal/successful method. If anything, basic attack builds will probably be better considering AmpSol either lands his Q or suffers-something that shies me away from playing on Asia when NA queues aren't popping 😅

@@Kaeiand I would definitely recommend Crit AR Isol over AMP Pistol then. Pistol is almost non existent when compared to AR!

If you melee PLASE USE FUCKING BOMB WHEN YOU FIGHT Wicklaine I die against shee too much times But when i use 2 C4 and Claymore that becomes much easier That was easy win 😂 And now i think about buying Celine. She is insane 😲😭 Idk how to do her combo 😭 But ... She just can do UNLIMITED MUCH PROBLEMS 😁 Only in place but... Also CC traps best for her 😅 You need that enemy wont move away from your bomb
