I'm curious as to what was the purpose of you bringing the cornstalks from the field and just leaving them on the parking area. Great job selling your harvest of corn. Most people make the mistake of over cooking the ears of corn which makes them tough and chewy. I boil my corn but only put the corn in the water after it's in a rolling boil. I cook the corn for only 4 minutes, this makes it far more tender and flavorful. I also shuck and de-silk the corn first before cooking it.
