This is a awesome video thank you I learned a lot 👍

This is a great video. One thing I found useful for the built-in hotkey command is for activating things that exist on multiple scenes and ensuring they turn off with 1 button. The OBS built-in source command requires a different button for each scene, where the hotkey command will send it through the system and activate it for the assigned OBS hotkey

Thanks for the kind words and the tip about the hotkey command!

Hi Joe -- There's an area of Streamdeck configuration I'm having difficulty finding out about, maybe you know: Especially for the XL, is it possible to program sub-regions of the deck separately? For example, configuring two regions of buttons, say the left half and the right half, and program those as separate sets? So you could have say 10 different 4 x 4 configurations, and invoke whichever you like for the left and right halves of the deck? Or is that kind of mix-and-match easier for entirely separate Streamdecks, such that two of the regular 5 x 3 decks is more flexible than the 8 x 4 XL?

To my knowledge there is no real way to do what you are describing. I think your best bet would be to build multiple profiles in the stream deck app where most profiles are similar but just with the changes you are talking about above. Double check to see if there is a change profile key configuration in the app itself that you could assign to the stream deck, otherwise it would be a situation of going into the app and changing profiles a lot. Curious about what the use case for this would be. I can't imagine a need for it

Can you use it to launch a stream? Can you setup everything to where you just need to sit down and press "GO" and it loads up everything necessary and starts streaming, provided everything is hooked up properly?

Absolutely. Create a multi action key that can start your stream, send out a tweet saying you are live, go to your first scene and anything else you can think of

Question from.the back row. Any tips on using it, if possible, to record the soundboard and mic in audacity? Podcasting wise, found it works well with OBS studio audio but can't crack that audacity egg

First off... let's move this person up the the front row. Second... let me get back to you on it. I have the actual razer one now and am going to be shooting a different video with it. Let me know what specific functions you want to achieve and I will see what I can do.

@@MiscastJoe Keep in mind I'm operating at a caveman level. But just picked up the stream deck, and want to record my podcast with it directly into audacity, using it as a soundboard to play clips during the convo between myself and co-host. Been struggling with that. Got it to work in obs, just recording audio but the stream deck and my mic are on the same track. I've been importing that file into audacity for editing
