Logic would suggest that fuel prices will play a part too. Vehicles which are heaviest on fuel will drop first, big petrols and SUV's.

Car dealerships are only hurting their already bad reputations and intelligent car buyers are realizing this more and more everyday.. Eventually car manufactures will sell directly to the public because of the greedy price gouging technics car dealerships are currently using right now!

Price plateau has only moved from "expensive" to "dear" in value. Right now, there is no real consumer desire to purchase, only necessity. The only way dealers can survive and thrive in the current economic state is to price their goods competitively not to inflate profit. None of these dealers will get my hard earned business at ridiculous prices. There are nice second hand cars are being offered for sale at new car prices (new but with a 6-8 month delivery date!!)- it makes more sense for me to hang onto my current car.

A drop of 0.7 is, in real terms, negligible. Even if the prices drop by say, 10% come the end of the year, used cars will still be way overpriced. The market has gone beyond ridiculous. Good video though. thanks for the information.

The only way is down, the trade will always talk it up but eventually the market will have a serious reality check.

Got mine already last week. Doubt it will change that much, there is still car shortage and people still need to buy cars. If your current car has no issues I'd just stick to that.

Personally I’d wait. Come Xmas time with the cost of living and energy crisis I think they’ll be plenty of bargains to be had out there. I’m waiting..

Very much depends on your absolute need to change now, or if you can wait, that said, it makes little to no difference if you’re part exchange something of an equal value as the pricing will affect both
