I’ve just found you. I love your new ideas. Very interesting. I think of how much tape I’ve already thrown away. With boxes coming in daily for Christmas, I’ll be saving another something to reuse. Great idea! Unfortunately I just threw mine away, but I won't do that next time! I also use some packing tape on vintage images, especially printables. I pull some from the roll fold it over on itself then crunch it up and apply it to the front of the image to age it. Sometimes I distress it or you could use alcohol ink too. New to your channel and I love the vibe! This is a cool technique, can’t wait to try this.
So funny, I just got an order of stuff.... that I DID NOT need, 🤔 lol, 🤭from JoAnn's and I saved the packing tape from the box. It's green, but still transparent and I thought I could use it for something, so this is awesome Christy. I'm not real crazy about the shine, I've used it before to take the picture off a magazine page then remove most of the paper with water, but would prefer it a little duller. Thinking I may try it and then spray with a matte sealer, 🤨see if that sticks, or maybe see if sanding it a bit would work.... so much to try, so little time, lol. 🥴 The one you did with alcohol ink, is that on top of the tape?? It looks like it, but want to be sure, lol. Thanks as always for sharing Christy, it turned out awesome!! 💜💜💜
@CraftedByChristyShop6 күн бұрын
@carolm9451 thank you so much. Yes, the alcohol ink is on top of the tape. I thought about putting elmers glue on top, as it dries clear, and takes off the shine, but I didn't try it. 😊❤️
@carolm94516 күн бұрын
@@CraftedByChristyShop Yep, I've done Elmers, on magazine pages, but wonder if the tape is too shiny that it'll pull together and not stick... I think you should try it and let me know so I don't have too 😂🤣😂 I also like to mix some coffee or brown paint to color the glue, give the picture a "vintage" look 🙂
