I think she did it on purpose to use the same melody to kind of tie all of it back to her youth literally. Figuratively. It was so artistic and brilliant on her part and this just proves her artistic point. The mash up is well done as well. All of it from her point to yours - A+.

I listened to used to be young on a whim thanks to messed up Spotify ads that said “youre listening to miley cyrus” without actually playing the song. I picked up on the glaring similarities between the song and the climb immediately and started singing that over the song. Literal genius idea to tie back into such a meaningful strong song from when she was younger. Its all just really beautiful
