as a noob i have to say that in my experience about 2 min into your demo I would have totally given up and moved on to something completely different. I mean way, way different. honestly, how much time and fiddling did you do before you came up with that solution?

The key word here, I believe, is "noob". Close your mind and you'll go precisely nowhere.
