The intro to this video is so comparative to what a sysadmin would say in the a work environment. "I'm gonna set this policy, you're going to use this policy, then I'm going to tell you that this policy can't go away due to compliance reasons and we actually have make the policy even more complex"... 'Acclimation' the sysadmins don't get eaten alive is a real thing. Keep fighting the good fight.

Great descriptions and use cases. My jaw dropped when you said you can access sysinternals as an SMB fileshare. Outstanding content.

Same here. I already knew about sysinternals and have used some of their tools in the past but having them readily available from a UNC-path is pretty amazing and super handy when I'm servicing a clients server.

Hello Andrew, I loved your video, I didn't know your channel, I'm trying to improve myself in support and I came across Sysinternals Suite again. I'm quite new to many aspects of IT, but I'm enthusiastic, I'll take a closer look at your channel and if you can, make more videos about the suite of tools. I liked the way you express yourself, I'm Brazilian and I don't understand your language well, but it's very easy to understand your content. Thanks and keep up your great work.

Great video, but still love putty when on windows, or Terminus when using IPad Pro. I have not used telnet for about 25 years i think that would have been back in the SunOS days.

Cheers. I have got a soft spot for Putty, but I'm starting the like the Windows Terminal so I can stick background images on different profiles and remind myself what device I'm connected to!

The problem with 7zip is the developer refuses to add a digital signature so it is an easy way to get malware on to your system.

Hi Andrew, thanks again, for this wonderful tips. Hopefully if you can give us more exclusive tutorial about system internals, there are few tutorials out there but i really believe you can give us MORE CLEARER PICTURE on how to use it efficiently in real world scenarios.

Thanks! Was there a particular Sysinternals tool you had in mind?

I would love to learn about "Process Explorer" or anything that will exactly pin point what's really causing the system to freeze/run slow/black screen/BSOD as well.

the windows ssh tool is lacing a lot of features like X over ssh and i don't think it can use key pairs
@ProTechShow2 жыл бұрын
It does support key-based authentication but it's a fairly bare-bones client. Not the most feature-rich, but the fact it's preinstalled is very useful - particularly on servers where you can't simply drop in your own preferred tools.
