I'm the opposite. My cats are super sweet and cuddly, but they are still cats. I don't know how they will react when really upset, so I'd rather the vet be prepared for teeth and claws. The kitty that thankfully hasn't had many issues got so upset on the way to the vet this last time she vomited in the car. She's getting medicated and a puppy pad stuffed in her crate before the next vet visit.

We need to get you an "O'Tom Tick Twister". Looks like a little sewing machine foot and gets the full tick out every time. You slide it on the skin so that the tick ends up between the two "prongs" of the "sewing machine foot", then twist until the tick comes releases it's bite and comes out - about 5 seconds, if that. My vet got me using them and I've used them on all our pets - and even a few human patients (easier to use than our tweezers in the ER!). By far the easiest tool I've found to use (most of the other "tick tools" are rubbish) - gets the whole thing out every time 👍
