Everyone may be talking about how they would imagine this song playing while in the middle of the forest with snow falling or the like, but not me. I imagine this song playing when you're alone in your bedroom with your blinds closed in the middle of the day. Its nearly dark inside, you're sitting on your bed just thinking about nothing, wanting to be alone while pretending the outside world doesnt exist. Nothing to do nor anything you want to do.

This video was my first ever exposure to the silent hill series, years back. My friend was using it for background music in Gmod when we would mess around there late into the night. I liked the music and I'd never heard something quite like it before, so I asked him to send it to me... And now silent hill has become one of the most important and impactful game series in my life, silly as that might sound. So this song, and even this specific video, are extra special to me now. you know, during the Lockdown here in Italy, where we all were in quarantine, I have been through a lot. During that period, there was a girl, I knew that girl for years, we went in the same school. Once I fell in love with her, and she friendzoned me, but she didn't want to end our friendship, instead, from that moment, we became very close friends, and then, when I was finally accepting the fact that she didn't love me back, she told me about her feelings about me, and she fell in love. From that moment, I didn't really know what to do, I actually still cared for her, and I was still in love, but that wasn't the same thing. Then, when the quarantine started, she told me that her feelings were not real, and she didn't want to delude myself again. From that moment we began to talk about that situation, I wanted her to stay with me, and she was confused about what to think. This went on and on for months, and in June, we met, we talked, and nothing. Yeah, nothing happened, we just talked, and she said she didn't care about my feelings, or if I would've been sad. That was the last time I talked to her. And since then, I miss her more and more as time goes on. (obviously I'm not letting that feeling to distract me and influence me negatively, I know how to deal with it, and I'm calm now). So, all of this just to say that, during that period, I used to listen to Silent Hill's music a lot, and I still do, and it remembers me about that time, when I lost the one who I loved the most. There's something magic in all of this OSTs, they are really something special. P.s. If you find this comment in other videos, it's just because I want to share this story of mine with you all.

Examining the knife affects your ending because its perceived as the action of someone who is considering taking their own life. I LOVE how this game determines your ending. The game doesn't stop you and force you to pick between choices A and B, then later doing the same with choices C and D, thus creating the AC, AD, BC, and BD endings. Your ending is determined by how your actions as James are interpreted, and its fucking brilliant game design.
