I really like the rotating cradle you have there for your "cartridge". Good work! :{)
Excelent integral design suitable for human scale. I see that not only you've worked in the charcoal retort, but in the manipulation of the metal drums as well.

excellent job !!! i have a question: how the gas that is released by wood in charcoal chamber goes to the fuel chamber in order to be burned ?

"this one is a gas catridge"...it look like channel, is it for oxygen(air) supply or an added fuel line? so how & when this thing(catridge) works?🙏 ...anyway it's amazing video, especially when you got graphite in there 👍👍👍

this is good, but too much heat loss, Your temp was supposed to be above 500. Yes i will improve mine from your idea. Kudos

Min temperature for biochar production is 350 C till 1200+- C. So his method is correct.

More labelling and more detail needed for the parts used and better explanation on how the unit is put together. Guessing about how to build one of these will not do justice to this burner or its builder. A teaser approach that has been employed in this KZbin video will protect the entrepreneurial and self-serving option of the builder/s or the business if charcoal or biochar is produced for commercial purpose. From a first impression point of view, this burner appears to have potential. Can the original script (not English) be translated using a service like Google Translate instead of the method employed here to give a better translation?

Do you have a diagram of your retort kiln... thank you in advance. You can send it or pm me in this account. It will generate income on poor folks here in our barrio (Ph) and help a lot on this time of crisis of pandemia... God bless us and keep s safe!

Could you please to share with me that diagram...🙏
hi, i need to ask, from what i saw, the chamber is vacuum, no air in or out, since the chamber is vacuum sir, the smoke is trapped inside, and the smoke from the burning will resulted in tar and might ruin the charcoal, how do you solve this?
There are outlet pipes to vent the volatile gases...

Hey man! The gas from the heated wood has to get out someplace. If not, It's like making barbecue on a closed and filled gas tube putting it on a burning charcoal grill My suggestion: Look for some drilled holes in the central steel tube. These holes make the trick and explains why this kiln is so ingenious! The gas is not wasted don't burn for nothing most of the gas burn on the inside of the steel tube where we can not see it with very very hot flames in the center of the heap of the pieces of wood that can not burn because being cut of from access to oxygen from the chamber over pressure can just release gas because of the heat and finally left there carbon Correct me if I am wrong Nick @@longburnsustainablesolutio8169
@longburnsustainablesolutio81693 жыл бұрын
@Nick yes I also employ that same approach, I drill holes near the bottom of the vent pipe, the volatile gases are ignited and raise the temperature of the kiln. It's quite beautiful to see it happen

Has to have. Too sad not to mention this in this video. Nobody want's an unexpected and harmful huge fire ball of built up and ignited gas after trying to imitate your video. Right? PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE ANSWER TO THIS IMPORTANT QUESTION BECAUSE IT MIGHT SAVE LIVES!

You see the holes in about 10:55. They are in the bottom part of the chimney and they feed the process with the CO from the top part of the pyrolysis chamber (~1:35) via the "gas cartridge" as it is called here.
