Mhm I feel bad for the mistress in this situation, she doesn’t have a good dad clearly and he didn’t teach her well. Though her mother is much better, it seems she just spoiled her while the dad was very strict and basically abusive (?) to her. I know nothing about Chinese families nor culture, so I cannot say this is abuse because while it may be in America, I have no idea in China. She also has a husband who is prone to give her up at some point and she has to go through the same exact thing as the FL except she doesn’t have anyone else by her side.
