Have always believed that those who feel proud of themselves because they can drink this and that at social events--are actually insecure people and want validation for themselves. Also, a lady has to learn how to empathically say NO. I believe there was only one other lady at that table. Everyone else was men. If you yourself know you can't handle liquor well, why drink? Giving in is almost tantamount to saying, "Well, ok. You can just r*pe me afterwards. I don't care."
