I noticed that many of these dramas start with someone being abused, humiliated, violated, and/or killed by their supposed "loved one" for one reason or other (mostly because of another lover, which is quite disturbing). Even sadder is the fact that they reconcile because it was just a big "MISUNDERSTANDING" and everything is water under the bridge. According to some comments, FL did not go back to the scumbag husband. Still, the past hurt is a scary forever. Rebirth changes that, but who gets reborn to a second chance?

This is an extremely common storyline in these Chinese web dramas. There is a concerning and ugly misogynistic message for most of them-that women should expect and accept being abused and should end up back with their abuser. Usually the abuser barely admits he was wrong, barely gives an apology, does not suffer himself, does not work to atone but rather he gets a completely unearned and undeserved (and unbelievable) happy ending. Many of us just skip to the end to see if she takes the scumbag back and skip the drama. Clearly the writers of these do not believe that women deserve respect or basic decency.

Most of these dramas were probably adapted from online novels. I've read a few. Believe it or not, this genre is popular. It's called 'wife chasing crematorium'. The best part of this genre was the grovelling. Apart from China, most South East Asian countries are also known to make lots of dramas from this genre. It's like a carbon copy. And I'm one of those fans. I never took it to heart because although I've heard of abusive relationships, I've never seen one.

I much prefer the ones where they get revenge and leave forever. The rebirth ones are ok, but as others have said, how real is that? I prefer the ones where the ML saves the FL from an abusive partner and helps her get revenge. But the persistent exes drives me mad. I watched one yesterday where he just NEVER gave up even after she married the ML, got pregnant....he just kept coming back and begging her to reunite. In the FL's place I would've just gone looking for a shovel and then taken him on a nice long country drive to a VERY remote place............😉

Strange drama but at least the FL does not end up with her abusive ex and has a chance to live a happy life far away from him and her parents-all of whom did nothing but abuse and torture her. The only thing missing is the scumbag ML getting true punishment. The story ends with him “getting revenge” on the evil mistress instead of rightfully blaming himself for the evil he did! At least her parents and the 2ML had the decency to be remorseful and frantic in their regret. But the male lead has just deferred his own remorse (if he indeed has any) and is blaming someone else instead of blaming himself. Disgusting man.

So yeah, another insane premise. ALL of the FLs family was at fault. They knew she was pregnant and didnt care so long as tgey got what they wanted for the scheming heffa. Then she DIES and NOW theyre sorry to her. Her sorry excuse for parents blaned and mistreated h er for 20 years....say what now. And they should all be slapping themselves because they abused the heck out of her causing her death then her child's death. And its so funny how the ML wants revenge but not from himself who also treated her cruelly. Oh i love the smell of hypocrisy. I would've lived and completely broke off with these people. Her child gave her a chance at life and she basically said 'no thanks'. I wouldve lived my best life in spite of them and without them.

This is such a stupid story. First of all a surgery is not done by just one person. It's a team, a scrub nurse, circulating nurse, anesthesiologist, surgeon and his assistant/assistants. A mother of another pt. Cannot pull a surgeon to be with another pt. There are usual protocol plus a surgeon is different from an internist/cardiologist. The writer of this story should do some research 😩

I am not a fan of these "system/ mission" dramas....but I liked this one. It was emotional enough to bring a few tears to my eyes despite being such a short drama. I loved that all her so called loved ones felt regret. Her death is 100% their fault. Especially her parents and childhood friend. Even though the husband isn't innocent at least he actually seemed to cared about her before she died. Despite his cruel words he didn't want her and their child to die and thus hired the best doctors to look after her. Unfortunately her parents called those doctors away and her childhood friend left her alone and bleeding on the table to save her not dying sister. At the end of the drama they get to live with their regret, which is a happy ending for me.

Bullshit, the husband never cared about his wife and unborn child because if he did he wouldn't have treated her that way and paid off the hospital and force to have an operation while pregnant with his child to saved his evil mistress life that never needed saving at all and in the end the male lead still doesn't care about his wife and unborn child and he isn't sorry for what he did to them for his evil mistress but what he cared about is that the evil mistress played him for a fool that he is and he spend his time getting revenge on the evil mistress for playing him for a fool.

@@beckyburton9749 From what I saw, he had no romantic feelings for the sister and was only trying to repay her for saving his life when they were younger (he comforted her a lot but never agreed to marry her and did not sleep with her even when he was drugged). Anyways in order to save his lifesaver's life the doctors needed the cord blood of the baby so yes he forced his wife to give birth early so he can get the sister that blood, but the baby was already 7 months and the doctors assured him that both mother and child would live through the surgery. Anyways he didn't love her because he was willing to put her and the child through that trauma but he wasn't heartless towards her like her parents and childhood friend, so of all the people who let her down I hate him the least.
