My soul might actually have left my body, because I followed up with more audacious words. “It’s rather indecent to just do this in the doorway. Shall we just move to the bed?” I cast a spell and changed my body back into its female form . . .”

​@marthapetty1008 He really didn't have a choice. The original sentence was loose her eyes and death. He negotiated it down to loose her eyes, and 3 years of lightening torture. He chose to c take her eyes himself because he didn't trust anyone else to do it without being cruel. Then he chose to undergo the lightening torment for her that lasted I think 3 years or something so she wouldn't be forced to endure that as well. He knew she was innocent but he couldn't prove it. It sucked for her without question but he was doing what he could to protect her from his grandfather.
