Lot of foreshadowing in this clip just from between the concubines, and from the Marquis to his attendant. Some stormy seas ahead. I liked the 2nd Madam a lot, wished she had a more prominent role. She is very beautiful, elegant, spoke softly and was pretty wise.

Technically it wasn’t his fault. One of his concubines was married into because of business and for the sake of this families - it was not a choice he made. Another concubine was married in because the lady whose funeral is being held in this clip was his first wife and framed her. This was done to prevent her becoming his second wife. The other concubine, I can’t remember why she was married in. He was kind with them, he was disappointed because they were in mourning for his first wife and yet they were taking about who is going to be his second wife and in power.
