Mr. Gu here needs to grow a backbone and fix his own problems. It's not his Mother's job to fix this. Now that being said I will blame his Mother for not raising her son to be able to handle this himself and always rely on her to do it for him. Also, I will say that Mama is a busybody and needs to back off.

How is this any different from ML and the business partner?!? At least he put her in her place. Double standards in Asian dramas always.

Hence, my view is "YanChiChao", is acting as ZhouJianQing according to "script"...Seen her acting in other drama's, has stronger character, not so0 meek 🙄 as in this drama... 😉 As for "ChenJingKe", his character as "Mr Gu" is so0 weak n easily lead by his "sidekick" JiangJingXuan But s'pose that's part n parcel of storyline in this "drama" 👍
