Please help me on this. I connected my phone to the speaker. My wife connected her phone as well. But she can't play music unless my phone grants her permission and I can't watch a video without playing it through the speaker and it overrides what she is playing. I messed with the media output settings on my droid but to no avail. The flip 4, we were allowed to connect both phones and play/disconnect whenever we wanted. Please help!

If you haven't figured it out by now, disconnect your Bluetooth on your own phone for your wife to connect her phone via Bluetooth. There is no feature in where more than one phone can share connectivity with one device speaker. This may change with Bluetooth V6. There maybe a firmware update but I have not found it to update connectivity with my own Flip6. All JBL devices with Party boost have the same issue with connectivity. If there was a way to turn off party boost mode then you should be able to do more with the device like equaliser adjustments.

I have a hard time to connect flip 6 with my phone and laptop at the same time.(Multipoint-pairin ) The moment I played laptop and the phone Bluetooth disconnect and vise versa. It does work smooth like bose flex with two different device connect at the same time and switch between them once the other media is pause. Do you have any solution? or just my unit is defect?

So because it has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!

What is the function of =ends= the JBL Flip 6 speaker? Both ends seem to have an exclamation mark on them, and they can be depressed. What happens when you do this . . . and why?

The flexible end caps are called passive radiators. They help regulating the internal pressure of the speaker and enhance the bass that way.

The ends of the speaker is what allows the speaker to produce the deep bass on songs with bass such as dubstep music or rock music.

It prevents the speaker from rolling and hepls the speakers to face upwards.

Unfortunately not. It doesn’t have any tracking features.

Through the JBL Portable app , you can tweak the equalizer settings in the app to give it more or less bass and treble.

Try again; with speaker powered on, hold PLAY and + until it turns off. Then once you turn it back on, BT will be flashing.

The speaker does not have a built in microphone. That’s why it does not work for calls of any kind.
