I'm guessing he mashed ultra after the low MK. But Luffy could have just did a normal MK. I don't think it is possible to react to the spiral startup animation. But that is just my opinion.

weglarz Ya that's really the important thing to remember; Sagat is not very good in this version but Bonchan makes him look top tier and /that/ is the mark of a great player.

chocotastic1 No, Rose just doesn't have any moves that beat throw other than Super and Ultra 1. Luffy was using Ultra 2 and didn't have full meter. Don't believe me? Next time you're in range with a Rose player, throw them. Again and again.
