when kaz does wake up up kicks, it's scrubby tactics. when daigo does wake up srk, it's great read and mind game. that's the internet for you...

Lol seriously. People need to realize that both Daigo and Kazunoko throw DPs at the most unexpected moments and have strategic uses for them. Scrubby or not, that's just how the game is.

+Crave Freedom Yo Kazunoko just defeated Daigo 7-0(7-1 on technicality) in Topanga this is Daigo king of the long set we're talking about so it home turf for him. People looking down on Kazunoko are in reality insulting Daigo as they both have high levels of respect for one another knowing full well not to underestimate the other. In closing if you don't think Kazunoko won because hes insanely skilled and was playing like a monster that day you're wrong.

The moment of this match. In the final round after Daigo lands that jump back combo in the corner, if he had went for the bait instead of pressuring Kazunoko the next combo would have lead to stun and then the follow up would leave Yun with somewhere around 10-15% health left. But once again Kazunoko makes the right read and his wake up upkicks connected and the rest is history. Big props to Kaz but man I wish Daigo could have at least reset it.

Honestly, a very symbolic, yet disappointing final game for usf4 competitively... I don't mean that like "daigo shudda wunn! :v" it's just that the set was so one-sided that even if google didn't spoil the game on me getting here, I still would've known Kazunoko would win. I suppose this match, rather than being a clash of titans to end it all, more so shows the power of a true World Warrior at its peak. That being said, I think this is not the match we wanted, but rather the match the game, and Kazunoko, deserved.

+Skullgirlsfanboy how was the set one-sided when it came down to last game last round?? Kazunoko blew everyone up in this tournament, that's true. I think when you wrote your comment you had this and probably the winners side match between kazunoko vs daigo in mind. This match can go either way and it came down to the wire but kazunokos reads were on point.

+Crave Freedom You forget that if you don't space well with Yun, its blow up city. Thats why scrubs whine about Scrubby XBL Yuns while the real good Yun player took advantage of his demons packing home early and having a slug fest with a glass cannon expert.

@XeroReborn
@XeroReborn 9 жыл бұрын
+Nick Rowland This is the reason Kazunoko upkicks so often. When you are in a tournament for the absolute best player in the world, what are you expecting from the opponent? Pro level combos, pro level options, pro level mind games. kazunoko knows this. Scrubby upkicks are the last thing the best players expect from the other best players. So what does he do? Scrubby Up-kicks. So why does it keep working? because now that the opponent saw hin do stupid up kicks, they're looking for it. kazunoko, again, knows this and counter acts it. Every move has a time and place. Kazunoko is just not afraid to look "nooby" when he's mentally beyond even the Psychic Daigo Umehara. It's not luck that Kazunoko lands so many. Daigo isnt bad for getting hit by them. Kazunoko simply is in Daigo's head, and Kazunoko's constant switch between pro plays and newbie plays make it hard for Daigo to be in Kazunoko's head.
@Simpanzee69
@Simpanzee69 9 жыл бұрын
XeroReborn Its not like I said Kazumnoko sucks because I don't believe that. I just said I don't particuarly enjoy watching smart players doing or getting hit by something so stupid is all. The biggest reason they shouldn't be getting hit is that this is not something new, Kazunoko does this in literally all of his matches and I just don't get why something so obvious works so much.
@XeroReborn
@XeroReborn 9 жыл бұрын
+Nick Rowland It works because its not obvious. Kazunoko sometimes does crazy stuff, other times does really tame stuff, the crazy stuff is a lot more flashy so you notice it more, but seriously, you cant win CapCup with an "obvious" tactic. i bet $100 dollars if Kazunoko played intermediate level players that expected upkick reversals, he would never do it. It's a tactic that only works this well at top level play because his mix up game is so strong. And if you dont enjoy him thats fine! But dont downplay his strategies to being "obvious"

You just can't "train" kazunoko. Even if he gets punished for the dp he still goes for it. High level players calculate the risk and then decide on the best option. Kazunoko defeats his enemy by constantly using upkicks to disuade them from pressuring him on wake-up out of fear he might just fucking do it. The meta-game is VERY strong there. I hate it as much as everybody else. And for a meticulous player like Daigo it really hurts his game.

801 strider had one job (abel is the counter pick to yun) and that was to beat Kazunoko so we could have a good tourney. But no he couldnt do it even the commentators said when he lost that it would have big repercussions for the rest of the bracket.O well at least the beast was second.Edit Wanted to say that kazunoko is a top player but some of yuns set ups are broken.
@azuresaiyan9005
@azuresaiyan9005 9 жыл бұрын
+Max Pheby Huge repercussions.Kazunoko would have played Luffy to then play Momochi in top 32 and likely have lost to him. Momochi would have had a solid chance to get to top 8 if he played the people Luffy had to play like Mago and Infiltration, people he normally beats. I don't know how 801strider would have done in winners because he seemed incredibly confident leading into the tournament, but I doubt he'd have beaten the guys at top 8 who were all for the most part playing on fire.

I don't feel like kaz played special at all. Just shows u the strength of neutral jump divekick. Daigo tried to jump jab him but that won't dissuade him. Momochi hits him with jump roundhouse consistently against that and we see how successful he is against kaz

yeah you just had to win enough majors to get enough points to get in or a premier event, and then win this entire thing against the best players in the world. GL you are probably better off staying at the job then trying to beat kazunoko or a daigo. You cant play better then them so it comes down to out guessing them, and playing perfect of course yourself. Your first step is getting to 4000+ PP and beating top amateur players consistently. Let me know when you can do that first. LOL
