Keoma definitely was one of the highlights of the tourney but it became clear in his matches with Snake Eyes that as good as he is, he definitely had the element of surprise helping him in his early matches. Few if anyone knew what to expect of him so he got a lot of people off guard for what they thought would be an easy win. Now that people are aware he's someone not to sleep on and how he plays, he's going to have a much harder time replicating such success at this level.

+xOmniCloudx I agree about the surprise factor, Snake Eyes was most probably focused on Gamerbee at the second match (and vice versa), and they weren't expecting what was coming for them. But at the same time, it's good to remember that Keoma had barely any experience in major tournaments outside of Brazil before the Capcom Cup. I can assure you that right now there's no Zangief player in Brazil anywhere near Snake Eyes or Itabashi level, so Keoma could only prepare for them based on videos (he said so in a interview also), which is complete different from real play experience. Now, the good thing is, after the Capcom Cup he just got a sponsor in Brazil, and he said that this will allow him to dedicate more time to training, and most important, funding for his travels to play in tournaments more often. With SFV just around the corner, I think Keoma has a lot of room for improvement.

Actually, both snake and Itazan lost to Keoma the first time they played him and itazan won more games in their set. We didn’t get to see him play Keoma a second time, so who knows if he would have won the runback like Snake did. Also, Itazan has beaten Luffy before and snake has lost to luffy multiple times, including here at CC. So I wouldn’t call this proof that snake eyes is better.
