@@artmcpharlin6730 I remember coming home from school the day JFK was assassinated, to find both my parents in tears. I was 6 years old ( I was nammed after the First Lady ) and living in the UK. No one in my family had expressed any interest in American or international politics before. Sadly, when 5 years later Robert was assassinated whilst campaigning for the presidency, the tears came again. Both my parents have died now but as an outsider looking in, I can confidently say, the current President is absolutely not held in the same high regard internationally. His whole demeanour is narcasistic, petulant, brash, inarticulate and frankly comical. His wife is exceptionally beautiful, chic and stylist but she appears to be a very geographically distant and obviously reluctant ' Trophy ' wife. Yes, JFK and RFK were flawed men in so many ways but as Diplomats for the USA, no subsequent President and First Lady have come close to attaining such international love and respect, with the exception of Barack and Michelle Obama. I suppose if your a RepuIican voter, you would disagree. I end with a short but intellectually weighty quote from JFK himself " Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other "

It is very nice to know Govt. of India have kept her visit to my country way back in 1962. For U.S. she was a gift, the way she changed the White House. I was a very small child when she visited my nation.

Nehru Indian PM belonged to a rich aristocratic family. As a child his clothes used to come from Europe. He was an excellent writer, a great statesman, had child like simplicity, was a visionary but not cunning or crafty and thus was prone to be be fooled specially by adversaries of India who deceived him to sign two treaties, one was pertaining to minorities left in India and Pakistan and other was Indus water treaty with Pakistan. He was involved in freedom struggle of India but at the same time he had lots of friends in Britain including his classmates. He too was influenced by Fabian Socialism. Later during partition of India his British friends including Viceroy Lord Mountbatten came handy to help India. Because he was educated in Britain and cut off from India, he did not have much feel of miseries of his people. The great characteristic of his personality was his open hearted and clean hearted frank in words approach and he harbored no ill will against any one . Politically he was no match to sharks in politics. The books like Discovery of India and Glimpses of World history reflects his intellect and learning. During his tenure politics in India was in its pristine purity and Indians did not know any thing about dishonest conduct or evil. Mrs Kennedy's visit to India brought a good breeze and freshness. JK Galbraith the US Ambassador had a special status and was a sought after man for his advice and wisdom.

Examine the current state of the world. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 states "You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. People will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!" Jesus is coming back. Are you ready?

That was an era where we could use the term lady and gentleman .in dress and manner notice that when they speak or talk their hands don't do the talking as it seems everyone does it now. Too much for emphasis is a distraction .facial expression is more expressive not the least more dignified .

How psyched do you think JFK was that Jackie was out of town for this trip so that he could, shall we say, enjoy his extracurricular activities in her absence? Although I don't know why -- Jackie was smokin' hot and he had everything to lose by doing so. It's a shame.

What's fake about an elegant, intelligent First Lady and her sister visiting India - it happened because I was alive in 1962 and I remember her going to India. Back then she and President Kennedy were loved and respected throughout the world unlike now with that no class goon in the White House pulling us all down into the rat hole with him.
