I'm 34 now, I remember golfing when I was 17 hitting a bunker shot from 50-60 yards out for a tap in birdie. One of the best shots of my life. Clutch shot fo Bryson Bravo 👏

I started playing golf 25 years ago or so. I'm not great at it as I have mY whole thorasic spine fused from severe scoliosis when I was a kid. It was done when I was 12 years old. Even with my back issues I still managed to shoot around 95 on average with 2 really good rounds in the high 80's and an 85 on one Sunday when I was just ON, for me. I knew I would never get much better but playing golf was therapeutic for me in that as messed up as my back is, swinging golf clubs keeps my back loose and from getting to stiff . It is also a big stress reliever for me. I love the game I haven't played in a year or so due to my lower back L 1,2,and,3 needing to be fused because the only place my back was flexible was in the lumbar area of my spine. So many years of mechanic work wore my lumbar spine out. I am having 2 surgeries to fuse from s1 to L3. After healing up I will continue to play as long as possible even if I can't do better than 110 or 120. I love it that much. I am a big Mickelson and Tiger fan as well as some others. Phil and Tiger have fallen off and I loved watching each of them have a come back for one final win not long ago. I didn't know any of the younger players and so golf for me seemed like my love of the game was slipping. I wasn't finding it as exciting as it had been. It has taken a few years for me to get excited about it again with my own troubles of not being able to play and now that my 2 favorites and some of the others I am fond of not playing so well. I had been looking for someone new to root for and trying to get back my excitement for the game. I began to like Jordan Spieth and Rory and a couple of others but had not made a connection as a hard core fan like I am with Phil and Tiger. Until I started watching some of Bryson's You Tube videos. His break 50 series is so much fun to watch. It has given the public a good idea of who Bryson is and his love and excitement for the game. So I have watched, finding myself rooting for him in his last few tournaments. I have become a strong fan for Bryson as in some way he has brought my love of the game back to me. If there was ever a competition I would love to see it would be between Rory and Bryson as Rory is my second favorite. and if Bryson didn't win I wanted Rory to win. So i got my wish yesterday. It was beautiful how Rory rose to the challenge and wouldnt let up. Bryson did also it was a battle, hard fought by both contenders. I thought Bryson had blown it when that put lipped out and then the same thing happened to Rory I believe on 17. It was nail biting edge of your seat golf at its best. Which wasn't something I had seen in awhile. I want to thank Both Rory and Bryson for playing thier hearts out and leaving nothing on the table. I found for the first time in such a long time that my excitement for the game has come back in full force. Something I am so thankful for. DeChambeau has come a long long way. His personality is way more engaging and appealing, he's a better golfer but he's also become the most liked crowd favorite. He's surpassed everyone including Rory in the USA. Nobody brings the crowd alive like Bryson. The scary thing is he is just getting started.

Say what you will about Bryson the guy is great for the sport of golf because he has personality, does things that nobody else is doing (he uses single length irons which is unheard of...nobody has ever done this) and actually interacts with crowds plus he has shown that he CLEARLY is up for huge moments making a 10 footer on 18 in the PGA that he had to have to get a chance for a playoff against Xander and the up and down from 50 yards out of a bunker on 18 yesterday and sinking that 4 footer. Dude is making history.

It’s up there. Tiger’s 3 iron out of a fairway bunker in a PGA championship with an awkward stance is generally regarded as the best ever. Or his Canadian Open bunker shot over water.
