Body armor like this is what i would wear especially nowadays where there is more drone-dropped munitions and artillery fragments. The soft armor would be a lifesaver in that scenario

Indeed it seems there is definitely alot of fragmentation used right now and you can use it for fireworks

That sounds like fun but in all honesty these seem pretty good compared to the civilian plate carriers that only have coverage the size of the plate and are only protected at that plate at least with this one it has 9mm protection all around it and then the plate area have more

If you use one of these, a good idea would be to attach everything to the FLC vest or any other MOLLE vest. Then put it OVER this body armor. Having too much weight on the front MOLLE panels of this thing can cause it to open on its own especially when crawling. Having all your gear attached to a separate vest eliminates this problem. That’s why you see photos and footage from the Iraq war where marines and soldiers are using this with their FLCs. For a more modern example, Russian soldiers with their 6b45 body armor generally where their MOLLE vests over it.

Thank you for the input and history lesson that is a good point and you definitely don't have much mobility when you start attaching things directly to the vest

I picked mine up on a Craigslist ad it seems some people have gear they no longer need and they then sell on Craigslist hope this helps

Is there a size chart for this vest? I'm trying to get one but I don't know what size I should get.

Normally they say what the chest size is to fit that particular size other than that I am not sure I had issues figuring out what size I was as well

Back in the day when I became an offthere. The uniform shop that I was buying my best Vest through made a comment in regards to my comment. Because I said I didn't want to spend a lot of money. They Ask me what my life was worth. My recommendation is something that's gonna do a good range of protection for a reasonable price. My first vest had level three armor and titanium strike plate in the front end rear with side protection

Nowadays with all the guntubers referring these camo patterns. The woodland variant has gotten really expensive.

That is still better than the plate carriers that only are the size of the plate and that don't offer any fragmentation protection
