I have said this earlier and also repeating the same that there will never be another Mohammed Rafi in next 1 million years, come what may. Singers trying his style may sing somewhat like Rafi Saheb in only 1 or 2 songs, but the vast range Rafi Saheb has justified is virtually impossible for any singer to emulate. No doubt, Rafi Saheb was and shall remain the 2nd Wonder of this World.

The empire of music is so vast that it is a folly to name any particular singer as monarch of that empire. There are many songs of other singers in the Hindi cinema (not even the world) which couldn’t have been more effective in Rafi’s singing. No one allots grades/ranks among various colours. No doubt Rafi was one of the great singers of his era, that’s it.

Ma'am, there is no one who can match even 10% of Rafi Saheb. There are many singers who are following his trend. Sonu Nigam, Saurav Kishan, Anil Bajpai etc etc but it's practically impossible for them to create the same aura that Rafi Saheb had. One thing more, we like our children dancing to the tune of latest songs and we have to be a part of it to see them happy but they and our coming generations will realise it later on about the impact and power of old songs and music which can never be replicated. That's why you see so many remixes of same old songs in new format. But remember, old is gold and shall always remain the same.
